The breakfast each morning was quite good. The young lady at the front desk was extremely helpful. The title implied that it was located in the downtown historic district but the hotel was actually 1.5 miles from downtown. I didn't mind the walk each day but my senior traveling companion struggled walking the distance .

Everything looked pretty decent, clean, spacious room, hot water, flushing toilets, until it was time to hit the sack. An uncomfortable uneven king size mattress with bumps and two pairs of little baby size pillows made my sleep a nightmare.

We had a great stay
I was hesitant after reading some reviews, but I'm honestly not sure why people were such harsh critics.. Our room was quiet, clean, and the staff was always very nice. It's also within walking distance of the Old Jail, where the trolley tour starts. There is free parking, and the breakfast was great too. Those two things alone make the price of this place more than fair. I'd stay again.
