We loved the friendly staff and historical and artistically decorated hotel. Room and bed was very comfortable. It was so convenient having parking in the garage beneath the building. Free wine in the evening was a nice bonus too!
Great little hotel. Really nice rooms, amazing beds. Only small issue is the parking. Not only isn't it free, but very small and if someone is going the other direction, very hard to make work. Other than that happening, I would def recommend.

The staff and amenities were fantastic. Rooms are clean and spacious as well. I wasn't sure what to expect as it wasn't a chain hotel, but I was pleasantly surprised and will definitely look to book here next time I'm in Portland. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

The MSH was conveniently located in the downtown Portland area. Very close to lots of shops and dining, so we never had to venture to far for anything.
It’s our second time here and just like the first time, our stay was great. Friendly staff, clean rooms, the location. Everything was smooth and perfect.

Staff was super friendly. Our room was nice, not as sound proof as I’d like but they gave me bday gift of chocolate, cookies, wine and a card!
We miss the breakfast, afternoon tea and wine tasting. Was very disappointed they were eliminated. The room was ok. The carpet had dirty spot and some wear and tear. It's time for some upgrade. I was there for 2 nights and there wasn't any housekeeping to clean the room at all. Don't know if that's has anything to do with the shortage of help. Overall it's a decent place to stay. Convenience location. Restaurants and shoppings all around.
Everyone was very kind. The historical elements of the building added to the appeal. However this is the first hotel I’ve ever been to, that did not provide any coffee or tea in the room. the lotion bottle was smaller than a pinky finger and the shampoo and conditioner bottles were goopy. I understand that Covid makes food amenities less accessible - however, This is the first hotel ever, that didn’t offer ANY at all. To me, the coffee and tea / warm water in the room is an important needed staple and should remain. Otherwise I enjoyed my stay
Front desk guy was so nice, friendly and personable. Another employee was ready to have our car towed as soon as we parked. My husband stayed with the car as I went to check in, he even followed me in to make sure I was checking in. Great way to make you feel like your doing something wrong. Not an awesome start to our anniversary.
