The blackout shades required a visit from maintenance. He was great and fixed it, but should have been right before. Toilet seat very loose. The property needs to pay more attention to having the housecleaning crew report issues. The staff was very helpful. The breakfast was good.

One of the cleanest hotels I ever stayed at! Also, all staff I encountered were very friendly. Able to walk to the beach and a few restaurants. Not a far drive to other attractions. Would definitely stay here again.

Loved that the staff gave us a complementary upgrade!!! So convenient on first floor and to have access to the patio. Breakfast was good, esp. sausage & bacon! Good coffee. Enjoyed the happy hour. Snacks just ok. Ordered tempura shrimp one night -- excellent! Pretty lady with longer, brown hair in gift shop was super helpful, answering questions re: getting into St. Aug & how to get around. Another pretty gal with short white hair in the gift shop was also very helpful with information on another occasion. Staff person in bar area was super friendly -- can't remember his name, but he likes snakes AND cats and we just enjoyed our conversations with him. Another woman who assisted with coffee supplies in the morning was great -- helpful & very friendly! Nice smile. We left to go to Amelia Island but wish we had stayed longer! Downsides: $$$PARKING! Noisy at pool with construction. Unfortunate. Hot tub one morn before breakfast was glorious! Nice lobby with separate seating areas was nice.
