The overall stay was good, the rooms were clean and things were easily accessible. My biggest complaint, is I ordered a romantic package, called before hand to make sure it was available and told the representative I would be heading up from Pueblo that night which is about 2h away. When arrived, the romantic package was a surprise for my husband, as he usually sets up the room for me this way. The staff mentioned a parking fee, which is free with the package, I started to question as to why she was saying that and she said she saw no package on my account. With my husband behind me I was hesitant of mentioning I should have a package on my account. After a few moments of hesitation, I had to completely ruin the surprise and mention I purchased a romantic package with my husband standing right behind me. The other co-worker proceeds to help and starts to speak aloud all the inclusions of the package which my husband heard clearly. I totally understand mishaps happen, however, I paid extra for this to all be a surprise that was utterly ruined. The experience of it was horrible and I probably would not go out of my way to purchase this package anymore as the service with it was not worth spending it for a surprise.
Was suppose to be pet friendly but I couldn’t leave my pet when I went to dinner they did not tell me this until I arrived I had to cancel they said I would not be charged for canceling but they did
Allows pets, and direct access to the Animas River Trail system. Room was very clean, spacious, had everything I needed. 2 minute car ride over to shopping.

I liked the spacious accommodations and the willingness of the staff to meet my needs. I borrowed a bottle opener from the front desk, requested room service and received it in a timely manner, and really enjoyed the continental breakfast each morning.
There was a beautiful walk way by the river behind the hotel that we walked. The staff was great and the room was perfect!
There was a walking bridge behind the Marriot with places to bike or stroll along the river. At no point did I feel trapped in a room which is exactly what a person visiting Colorado expects.
