During our 2weeks of Thai trip with my boyfriend, we stayed in 4 different hotels and it was unfortunately the worst stay. 1) I see A/C is fully running in all over Bangkok but Avani Riverside was over the top. I had to prepare myself with a jacket to enter the reception area each time. We entered the room and the A/C was set at 19'C. Not only it's uneco-friendly but also unhealthy. It was FREEZING and the temp. gap between outside and inside was 15'C. We of course changed the set-up to 24'C & kept turning it on & off but the reception was in this temp. all-time. 2) I saw some reviews right before check-in that some guests experienced unavailable swimming pool and wondered if a 5* hotel would limit the guests' entrance to such main facilities of the hotel. Guess what? It happened to us. We checked in quite late(19:30) so the only full day we could use the pool was the next day (pool closes at 20:00) We were informed that the pool won't be available the next day 10-18:00 for a private event(wedding). We had to complain gently that the roof-top pool was our main reason to book the hotel and it's quite unfair not being informed about its unavailability beforehand and the reception staff offered 500THB discount as a sorry in case we eat at the restaurant. Since we had no energy to argue or move to another hotel, we took the offer but 500THB couldn't even cover a single menu at the restaurant. 3) Not all but many staffs(pool, breakfast) seem to be annoyed by your being there.

Rooftop bar fantastic and best bed!
Brilliant hotel, clean, well decorated, great staff and a very comfy bed!!! Roof top bar is really cool and good atmosphere. Brilliant view and highly recommended for day and night time drinks. Half an hour in a taxi to pretty much anywhere. Concierge team very helpful, we used Grab and they made sure we got safely into a car, and out when we returned.

I highly recommended this hotel we stayed in feb 24, food is excelent, attention very good, Mr Ice helped us in everything we need including tours around the city, the rooms we used were very clean.. we were party of 4, we definetely come back to the same hotel.. also the infinity pool view from the 26th floor is awesome, and free water taxi to Inconsiam mall..
