Zurich Airport is located approximately 8 miles north of the city center. It is also commonly known as the Kloten Airport and is the largest international airport in Switzerland. There are several options available for transportation to the airport, including taxis, limos, car rentals and hotel buses. The Swiss Federal Railway provides train services to and from Zurich, and regional buses connect the Zurich Airport with destinations in the region. Open-air and covered parking is available at the airport. Parking lots P1, P2 and P3 are connected to the main airport complex. Lot P5 is located 5 minutes away and offers discounted prices. The cheapest parking is in lot P60, which is available for long-term parking.

Amsterdam

Amsterdam is the capital of the Netherlands and is located in North Holland, in the western part of the country. Air visitors will arrive at the Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, located approximately 6 miles from the city center. Transportation from the airport is available by the Schiphol railway, the local bus and by car rentals. Most travelers visit Amsterdam between April and September, when the days are long and temperatures are mild. The warmest months of the year are July and August, when the average daytime temperature is 71 degrees Fahrenheit. The coldest month of the year is January, when nighttime temperatures drop to the low 30s. Amsterdam offers a variety of things to do and see, including the Concertgebouw, Anne Frank House, the Tuschinski Library and the Resistance Museum.
