I spent 6 nights at Hotel Dubrovnik. The location is excellent, a short walk from the main square and less than 10 mins from the train station. My room was very comfortable and I appreciated getting a complementary bottle of water on day 1. The breakfast buffet is quite good with a selection of hot and cold items. I suggest you treat yourself to a treatment at the spa as I really enjoyed my facial and it was great value. Getting a drink at the bar one evening proved challenging and I gave up after 40 mins. Other than that everything else went well when I started here.

The hotel has the best location in the city, but the amenities were not equal to a four star hotel. The toilet paper, tissues and towels were the roughest I've ever had in a hotel. Breakfast was OK, but should've been better for a 4 star hotel. The bed and pillows were not as comfortable as they should have been and I ended up with a pinched nerve in my neck from being uncomfortable.

Breakfast was good and included with the stay but after 2 weeks it got a bit too much of the same. Food was good but not great. Location is fantastic but what knocked a star off the rating was the quality of the bed and pillows. We had a torn bedsheet on our first day and the overall comfort of the bed and sheets was satisfactory at best. Bath tissue and facial tissue was quite harsh so we bought our own during our stay. These are minor problems and overall we enjoyed our stay as it's right on the mail square of the city with plenty of shopping, dining, cafe's and transit only steps way.

Clean room; helpful reception staff It did not get excellent rating because the room was heavily, heavily perfumed. ( whether it was their cleaning product or on their sheets, I don’t know). It was pretty offensive. I left after checking in and it still smelled after 3 hours. I considered opening the windows even though it was raining.

Perfectly located with a great view of the main square, the Trg. (Could be slightly noisy, so ask if you prefer a quieter room). Very central by the old town. Near the cannon & St Mark's Church & the amazing street with all the restaurants, pubs & coffee shops (highly recommended!) Very comfy room & great shower, nice breakfast, lounge & friendly staff. Loved Zagreb! (And Dubrovnik too where the hotel is named after!)
