I won’t take anything away from this property as it’s AMAZING and is what a good VRBO should be, but just a couple minor things for someone considering renting this place. Google Maps (at least ours did) sends you to a derelict building down the road. The instructions from the owners aren’t very clear. Just go behind the Elders building and there’s a car park. Once inside, enjoy. Also, there is no pool onsite. I believe the owners list one as the spectacular Yeppoon Lagoon is about a 5 minute walk. Lastly, the washing machine is not in the suite, it’s on the ground floor (shared but free). There is a dryer in the suite. The small touches the owners put everywhere are incredible. They treat you like guests. Even the TP is first rate! It was nice to have access to quality cooking utensils and cookware. The best olase we’ve stayed at in our month in Australia so far. Oh yeah, the lorikeets are a thing. Thousands of them arrive every dusk and perch on trees across the street and yes, they are loud. We use white noise machines and there was no issue. If you need dead silence to sleep, this is not your place. But wow, the lorikeets were incredible to watch (and hear!)
