Hollywood Casino at Greektown
4/5 Good
"My big complaint is how slow they are to check people in. Their computer program is very slow and even though there was a long line only two people were assigned to the front desk. There were other computer stations available for other staff members, but when a new staff member came out to the front counter, an employee then rotated to the back office so there were only two staff members at any one time to not only check people in, but to answer questions of guests who might stop by the front desk. I stood in line for at least 20 minutes, it was excruciating. The room itself was great, very comfy furniture and bed, even a little refrigerator. A bit longer walk to Comerica Park than I anticipated, but still doable. You are close to the large casino and to Greektown dining. Good area, at least in the summer when there are tons of people around. Once you figured out the different elevators for the parking garage and the hotel things go pretty smoothly. You have to have a room key to access the floor with sleeping, so appreciate that extra layer of security."
