Perfect stay

Theresa and Paul were incredible hosts. Their property is beautiful and immaculately kept, down to the last detail. We found everything we needed and felt like we were staying with friends. The weather wasn't ideal, and they, unprompted, allowed us to do a late checkout - which afforded us the opportunity to get some last minute fishing in - catching the most fish of our trip. Thank you!

Wonderful home with excellent amenities

Theresa and Paul were excellent hosts and their home was exactly what we wanted. I’ve never stayed in a VRBO with such great amenities and such a well appointed kitchen. Great care was taken to ensure we felt immediately at home. We will definitely stay here again.

Wonderful Ski Lodge!

Outstanding stay at the Mountain Rock Lodge for 4 nights. Theresa was a wonderful host providing great communication and really making us feel welcome. The home is clean and potentially even better than the pictures. Lots of bedrooms, beautiful bathrooms and a great open main level to cook, dine, and hang out. For skiers, the proximity to Whiteface was incredible, allowing us to spend more time relaxing and less time commuting to the mountain. Highly recommend! We would book again without hesitation.

Perfect winter getaway

This house was perfect for a group of 12 extended family visiting the area to ski, snowshoe, and explore Lake Placid. We so appreciated how well equipped and lovingly decorated the house was; and our host, Theresa, could not have been more responsive or helpful. The house is light, homey, comfortable and in a great location. Enjoy!

Beautiful

As soon as we walked in we were amazed at how beautiful this rental was. It looks to be very recently remodeled but still had that warm cozy lodge feel. They had 5 bedrooms which was ample for our group and even a bonus room with a futon that could be used as a 6th bedroom. 4 full baths (2 being en suites ) and very very clean. The owners were so helpful and quick to answer any questions We would give it 10 stars if we could. We hope to be back someday

Delightful

The home is beautiful, clean, and very well appointed. Terry was a lovely host and very attentive. We enjoyed all of the Olympic legacy sites, skiing and hiking. A wonderful home in a great location.

Incredible winter getaway!

We had nine adults and two kids staying at the lodge and it was spacious enough for all of us! It is an incredibly well maintained and cared for home that is comfortable and also luxurious. The owners are so kind and very responsive. Our whole group kept saying what a wonderful and beautiful home and how it worked perfectly for our group. This is a property you don’t want to miss out on!

Wilmington house

The house was better than the pictures show. Spotless and well furnished with kitchen basics and supplies. The 11 of us in our extended family all were comfortable throughout the stay.We loved the fire pit and games that were available. We found our new Willmington getaway!!!

This house was beyond our expectations. From the art on the wall to the books on the table and kayaks we used down at Willmington town beach, this vacation house pressed all the buttons. Kitchen and dinning area was focal point for our family meal being comprised of top notch appliances and table ware. The fire pit and ambiance was icing on the cake, allowing us to create memories for us and our children that will last a lifetime.

Beautiful Home & Great Outdoor Space

We enjoyed our time at the lodge. The outdoor seating area with the fire pit has been recently updated with pavers and a lean too. We were the 2nd group to use it. The grill was brand new. The welcome table was a nice touch when we arrived and there was wine and chocolate for us. Kitchen has plenty of pans, silverware, dishes/bowls (we love the adk design!), and spices. There’s also a keurig, regular coffee pot, and air fryer. There was a total of 8 people for our stay and there was plenty of room for all of us. We enjoyed the upstairs game area and played cards and foosball several times during our stay. A couple people used the bikes to explore the neighborhood. The location was perfect for us as we were only a short drive from Wilmington, High Falls gorge and the gondola ride. Lake Placid was only about 20 minutes away. Communication with the owners was great and we had no issues. We would return if we are in the area again.

5/5 Stars - Amazing stay in a beautiful home!

We had an incredible time staying at this VRBO. The house was absolutely beautiful, with spacious rooms, comfortable beds, and lovely forest views. The kitchen was by far the most well-equipped I have ever seen in a rental with everything we needed to cook our own meals. The living room was perfect for relaxing and spending time together as a family. The outdoor fire pit is perfect for a night of toasting marshmallows and making smores. The location was ideal, just a short drive to Lake Placid, Whiteface, and Olympic venues. We loved morning walks and bike rides. The hosts were also fantastic. They were very responsive to our questions and made sure that we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We would definitely recommend this VRBO to anyone looking for a great place to stay in this area. Pros: Beautiful home Well-equipped kitchen Comfortable beds Great location Responsive hosts Child friendly Cons: None

Great family vacation!!

The home was warm and welcoming. The kitchen/dining/great room was perfect. We are a cooking family and the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed! A dining room table comfortably fit all 10 of us! 5 very generous bedrooms and 4 lovely bathrooms. Our host was available for any questions. We enjoyed many hikes and Olympic sights! We will return to this perfect “get away” retreat!

The Perfect Adirondack House

This house was everything and more! We are 3 families, with 7 kids (8 & under), and this house was perfect for us! The house was gorgeous, clean, and has everything you could possibly need. Plenty of sleeping space, bathrooms, and the living space was large, open, and inviting. The upstairs game loft area was great for the kids and for late night poker! The location was perfect too, only 3 minutes to get to Whiteface and 20 to Lake Placid. We were able to do so much with the kids due the awesome location! Skiing, snowboarding, sledding, hiking, horse-drawn sleigh rides, bowling, toboggan run, ice skating, and more. We had the best time this Presidents Weekend and would absolutely stay here again. The owners are spectacular too. Great communication, super friendly, and excellent recommendations for things to do with the kids. This house was by far our favorite stay, and we’ve been renting different properties every Presidents Weekend for the last 15 years. Definitely would stay again! Thank you for hosting us!

Spectacular Lodge

We had a blast at Mountain Rock Lodge! They thought of everything to make our stay so enjoyable and our whole group loved it. It was a wonderful winter getaway for our friends and family. The main floor was such an awesome space for all of to be together and the bedrooms provided everyone with their own private space as well. The 4 beautiful washrooms were extremely helpful. The game loft was an added bonus. The kitchen is very well equipped with high-end appliances and cooking utensils. Even the cutlery, plates, coffee mugs and glasses were impressive. 5 minute easy drive to Whiteface Mountain and 15 minute picturesque drive to downtown Lake Placid. Outstanding space for a large group to make lasting memories. We hope to be back there in the summer and for future winter trips as well. Thank you to our wonderful hosts who were gracious and attentive.

We spent an extended New Years weekend at this great house and found it to be well stocked, super clean and very comfortable. As frequent travelers, we can’t say enough good things about this property. The owners have truly thought of everything. Christmas Vaca

This may be a duplicate review due to internet issues on the way home but we had an amazing Christmas at Mountain Rock Lodge! Theresa was a great host and quickly responded to any questions we had. The lodge is well maintained and equipped with high grade cookware. The table was set beautifully for Christmas dinner. We had everything we needed for a perfect holiday, from tasteful Christmas decor to frozen wine glasses waiting in the freezer. Theresa gave great recommendations for places to eat and the locals were so welcoming. We’ve heard the area is even better in the summer and can’t wait to book another stay at this beautiful lodge. Thanks again for a great vacation!

Great holiday getaway

We absolutely loved our weekend getaway at the lodge! It’s beautifully decorated (with impeccable attention to detail), very clean, had all of the amenities that were needed and more! Great experience

Everything from the booking process went flawless. The house is absolutely beautiful with everything you need and then some. The location of the house is perfect for peace and quiet and close enough to town and all of the Olympic attractions. It is apparent the owner takes great pride in making sure you enjoy your stay and feel at home. We would definitely recommend the house to friends and family and would stay again.
