This Property is a 8bdm, hilltop, secluded waterfront Rustic Lodge, nestled on 3 wooded acres, just 3 miles from I-45. with many activities and amenities to entertain all ages! Owners reside on 2 acre property adjacent to property for onsite management.

Enjoy breathtaking sunsets on the large 1640sf. shaded 2nd story deck and covered porch. Two mature lighted trees, thorough the deck, providing a natural reflective ceiling after the sunset. Party string lights above provide a warm festive setting for family dining or an event Reception! Come and relax in the refreshing indoor pool and enjoy an exciting game of volleyball, or a competitive game in the lighted sand court lakeside! Bring back simple pleasures that can include a spirited game of sand volleyball, pickleball or Bean-Bag Toss, and adjacent to the lighted, furnished lakeside 650sf deck for 16, and mooring for 3 watercraft. All are shaded after 6:30 in the warm seasons! These and other activities with your friends and family, provide treasured and lasting memories!

.The Estate is surrounded by a canopy of lighted pecan, oak and towering pine trees on 3 acres with a private wildlife peninsula. Treehouses are also available to rent.

This property was the setting for the wedding of my dreams, and the space itself has a lot of potential and beauty, which made our celebration very special. However, our overall stay was impacted by several issues that made the experience more stressful than expected. Upon arrival, the home did not appear fully ready for guests, and it felt as though cleaning and preparation from the previous stay were incomplete. Throughout our time there, we found ourselves needing to stay alert for additional maintenance, cleanliness, and safety concerns, which took away from our ability to fully relax. Several amenities were either not stocked, not functioning properly, or unclear in terms of availability or instructions. We were also not informed that the hosts would be present on the property, and unexpected entries into the home affected our sense of privacy. Certain safety concerns, including doors that did not lock and maintenance issues, were particularly concerning during a large event. The pool and outdoor areas were still in the process of being maintained during our stay, which limited our ability to enjoy them. While the wedding itself was incredibly meaningful and memorable, the condition and management of the property did not align with what was presented in the listing. With more attention to cleanliness, communication, and guest privacy, this could be a truly wonderful rental experience.

Perfect for Family Gathering

The house size and location was perfect for our family gathering of grandparents, adult children, and grandchildren ages 4 and up. Loved the indoor pool. Views were lovely. Kids enjoyed using the kayak on the lake and some unsuccessful fishing. Played volleyball as well as lots of indoor games. Had fun with kayoke, pool table and ping pong table. Host and hostess were friendly. Be prepared for LOTS of stairs though. It’s a big, multilevel house with eight bedrooms, five bathrooms, and plenty of beds. Kitchen was sufficiently stocked and we made thorough use of the two large refrigerators and outdoor kitchen with grills perfect for burgers and hot dogs.

The area surrounding the home contained too much junk. The house wasn’t cleaned as well as it should have been and we weren’t able to use one of the bedrooms because it smelled like mildew. It’s a nice house but it really need some deep cleaning inside and out. We paid too much money for those conditions.

was quite disappointed with my stay at this property. The listing photos were outdated and did not accurately represent the current condition of the home. Upon arrival, it was clear that the property had not been maintained to the standard suggested online. Furthermore, the owner's adjacent home was in poor condition and detracted significantly from the overall ambiance of the area. I would not recommend this property to others based on the misleading presentation and lack of upkeep.

The house sat on a great plot of land with plenty of room for kids to run around and play. There is so much potential for this home, though it does need a lot of maintenance and clean up to become a comfortable place to stay. The indoor pool was nice but very difficult to keep warm!

Fun Family Getaway

We had a family gathering of 10 adults and a toddler. The house has plenty of room, and many fun activities for guests to enjoy. The second story deck is huge and was a popular hang-out spot during our stay. Billiards, Ping-Pong, Pickleball, and Basketball were enjoyed thoroughly by our group. Sitting on the dock by the lake was so beautiful and peaceful. I highly recommend that! We cooked all of our meals and the kitchen definitely met our needs.

Host does Not refund ANYTHING. Paid for 25 guests (anything over 11 is an added charge) but only 20 were able to attend. Host would NOT refund me for the 5 guest charges. House was acceptable but there are safety concerns. Wiring needs updated. Pool roof needs replaced. Make sure you are aware of all fees. Very disappointed in communication with Host.

Family reunion getaway

The peaceful surroundings and multiple outdoor entertainment spaces made it an ideal place for our family reunion and birthday party. There were multiple levels and stairways inside that made it a little difficult to navigate for older people in the party but at the same time gave privacy to the different family groups when needed.

This place is great. We had a large group & everyone was accomodated. A little older place than we have had in the past but we made excellent memories. The pool inside was a big hit. We were a little worried about getting to come after Hurricane Beryl but they took care of the house & large yard area before we arrived.. owners were super quick to answer any questions. Great place for relaxation & enjoy time away from life’s busyness.

This property was a big disappointment. Not professionally cleaned or maintained. We had dead bugs in several rooms, dead bugs in some beds, nails sticking out of the front stairs(tripping hazard), two people put their foot through rotted dock boards. The pool room is a joke, the pool table and ping pong table are so old they were unusable. Shaky toilet with smells coming from it. The master bath tub/shower was very dangerous to get into and out of. The listing doesn’t state how many stairs are in the property but it was very dangerous for small children.

Beautiful location with safety concerns- NOT good for families with children

We stayed at this property with a group of friends and young children. This property has a lot of “pros”: -Beautiful location- the view off of the deck was lovely -Secluded from general traffic and public -Lots of bedroom options with adequate bathrooms; can sleep a large group comfortably -Indoor pool for hot summer days Unfortunately, there were also some issues that made us not want to return with our small children: -Numerous safety hazards inside and out- my toddler found a bunch of wood screws in the foyer, space of balusters could easily fit a child’s whole body, areas that should have safety railings without them, cleaning supplies and tools left scattered about the home inside and out, exposed wires, etc. etc. -There was no lock on the front door- check in was easy because of this; all you do is open the door! Unfortunately, that means anyone could also do that! -There is a dog that wanders around the property- not in the listing. -While not listed in the listing when we booked, the owner lives a stone’s throw from the property, and you will see him a LOT. He came into the pool house while we were swimming and was often seen on the house’s deck and on the grounds directly around the house. It was very off putting. -The house was very dusty, had plenty of cobwebs, and we had to scrub the kitchen upon arrival. Normally, when I see only a handful of bad reviews, I assume the bad ones are from people who are unrealistic- but in this case, I was wrong!
