Very poor checkout experience
The good points are the location, the view and well stocked kitchen.
Unfortunately there are quite a few bad points. Firstly the apartment is quite run down, dirty and the bed doona does not even have a cover on it. I’m surprised we didn’t get bed bugs. We would be willing to overlook some of this but what we found inexcusable was the check out experience.
Despite no one checking in on the same day, we had to vacate the property at 10am with no option to leave bags anywhere and therefore be at the airport 3.5 hours before our flight. This was despite multiple requests to check out later or at least get a later transfer or store our bags due to us having 4 suitcases, fishing rods, a pram and two young kids. We are frequent travellers and have never not been given an option to store bags somewhere. It’s particularly disappointing given the very high price tag! We then choose to be dropped at the resort centre just to avoid a 3.5 hour wait at the airport and had to them pay for a separate private transfer at a cost to us.
I don’t normally leave reviews but fee it is best to warn others as I would not have booked this apartment had I have known about this experience.
