This rental is in a superb location. The appliances are all modern and sleek, which was nice. Having said that, our overall experience didn't match up with expectations so well. We believe some more attention to the details would improve the experience a lot. Following are some items to be aware of: The beds were not as comfy as other rentals we've used. We ended up switching with our kids for the less squeaky mattress since they sleep easier. It was also hard to sleep because the climate control is actually a window A/C unit set up in the living area window. This requires the ceiling fans to carry the cool air throughout the other rooms, which really doesn't cut it for 90+ degree days. This is probably especially so, since the window A/C hose prevents the window from completely closing, which means the hot outside air is in constant exchange with inside air. When we asked if there was a better way to cool the place down, we were instructed to consider opening up all the windows instead. Unfortunately, this wasn't an option as the wildfire smoke had the air quality in officially unhealthy ranges most of our stay. Speaking of sleep, the many skylights throughout the unit make it hard to sleep past dawn, even after long, exhausting days. Light-blocking blinds would go a long way to ensuring a good night's sleep. Another challenge we faced was the wifi speed. My husband wasn't able to download videos of our adventures to clear his memory card, as the download speed was only about 2MB/sec. On a separate note, as a 5'4" woman, I had to stand on my tiptoes to wash my face in the bathroom sink - the counter seems high and the sink is a bowl that sits on top of the counter. My kiddos also had a hard time brushing their teeth in the high sink. The washer/dryer were stacked on extra platforms, and I had to stand on my tiptoes to reach in and pull out the clothes from the dryer. We were also reminded that one should always double-check safety and security when arriving at a rental. We noticed 3/4 of the way through our stay that the windows were unlocked - leaving our valuables unprotected. Finally, if you are interested in playing badminton or building a fire as suggested in the listing, make sure to arrange rackets/wood ahead of time. Neither was available when we had the chance to use them. Lastly, there were only ~6 plates and 6 bowls available for 4 people to eat off, which was not enough for two meals in a row without handwashing. Be prepared.
