Decent esthetic upgrades, but we left disappointed.
We booked this during the Dartmouth graduation weekend. I wish I would have paid more attention to the fine print because we left disappointed and ultimately I would not recommend it for families. Cons: 1. Zero guests at any point. This is understandable to avoid parties and noise; but if you're planning a quiet stay to meet family, they do not make exceptions. Apparently, they supervise for unauthorized guests. 2. The pool and club facilities are NOT free. We used it once and it was 45 to use the pool. 3. The cleaning was substandard especially given the enormous "extra" fees charged (which nearly doubled the room rate). The glassware was dirty, there were ants all over the kitchen, and the porch was unkept. 4. When we booked, the initial confirmation said check out time is 11am, but upon arrival it changed to 10am. We tried reaching out to the number provided a few times but got generic, automated-like responses which were not helpful. 5. The balconies overlook other peoples windows and do not feel private. 6. We had trouble finding the correct parking spaces. 7. This is not wheelchair or stroller accessible. Pros: 1, The owners have nice taste and have done pleasing upgrades for an older property. 2. Beds were comfy but all located in the basement. 3. Main floor of the tri-level apartment is open and comfortable. 4. The area itself is cute with great farmer's markets and conveniently located near Dartmouth.
