South Sands hotel

The bed was uncomfortable, shower cublical had mould around the base, there was mould above the bathroom window. Would not recommend it was stated as a bungalow on hotels.com but it wasnt it was a room in a annex

room had dual aspect windows overlooking beach road and car park. it was clean though in need of minor repairs. Personally i found the bacon overcooked and was annoyed that although having paid for bed and breakfast this only included "continental " which was not clear on the website and it was not a true continental breakfast, so we ended up paying extra for a cooked breakfast. The staff however were lovely but the hotel is in need of repair and redecoration

Great location next to the beach, nice on-site restaurant, friendly staff. Would be quiet, except for unexpected late night traffic noise - hopefully not a regular occurrence.

Amazing south sands hotel

What a find, beautiful location, peaceful, on Sand Bay Beach front a few miles from Weston Super Mare but a world away. Nice hotel, clean, lovely presented double room with en suite, rainfall double shower, tv, small fridge, kettle, free standing fan, supply of tea, coffee, hot choclate. Hotel staff were friendly and approachable. Breakfast included in price, yoghurts, fruit, toast, full english and a good variety of other cooked options. On site restaurant, Rock Salt, varied menu for all tastes. We had 8oz Steak, rare, cooked perfectly and beef lasagne, amazing. Good onsite paking. Definately will book again.

The room has cobwebs and it is nothing like the pictures on the website. We were in room 22. This room has a boiler next to our bed. It woke my little one up constantly at night and scared her. To be honest, I don’t think it’s suitable to be a hotel room because of the noisy level. One thing I really like about the hotel is that the staff are all extremely friendly. So it is still highly recommended but avoiding room 22.

The location is amazing but service could have been better. Some very kind and attentive staff in the restaurant but not for the stay so much. It would have been great to have sheets instead of duvets in this heatwave as the room fan isn’t very powerful. Doors were slamming til late in the night and then early morning so it wasn’t very restful. I appreciated the staff letting me keep my luggage til later on check out day and the friendly lady with light pink hair at the breakfast service. I might stay again, it just seemed a bit expensive for what it is as the room is rather basic.

The hotel was clean and fairly comfortable. We didn’t give a higher grade because we had no chairs in our room and there was no lounge. There was a safe in the room but the previous occupant had left it closed and in spite of mentioning this it was never unlocked. The staff were extremely helpful. The food was good. When we arrived Sarah the receptionist helped us carry our luggage upstairs.

Good for a short stay, don't have too high hopes

Great location, very good staff, smiling workforce, no issues to deal with. The room was a bit tad, dated and bit smelly. Looked to be unoccupied for month. Spiders and cobwebs at many places in room Ample parking around, nice big XL size restaurant, good dinner menu, just that it closes at 8:15 for last order. Bang at the not so great beach.

Beautiful hotel- clean and very welcoming. We had fish and chips which I can highly recommend. Only down side is the beds are not very comfy worn mattress feel springs through. But for a night away with amazing views it’s worth it. Also great breakfast.
