Excellent hotel, new, good restaurant, nice terrasses. A bit far from village but an easy and pleasant walk (if the weather is nice of course). Airco in the room (64) was not functioning well, other room was OK.

Great Hotel in West-Terschelling

Hotel Bornholm is a great place to stay. If by car, there is free parking. If not, bicycles can be rented at the hotel or just a few steps to the bus stop. Location was great if one wants to be close to West Terschelling restaurants and shops. The bike paths along the water front is outstanding. The only downside would be that the hotel desk is only open from 09:00 and closes toward evening if assistance is required. Also, decaf tea or coffee is not available in the room and may be charged if you take any from the restaurant.

Good stay overall

Although the rooms have been renovated according to the staff, there was the smell of mold or mildew in the room. If you're sensitive to this, then it could be an issue. Avoid the lower level (below grade) in the second building since they say the smell can be worse on that level. We were in a "superior" room on the first level above ground though and it was still noticeable. Not sure how it would be in the main building. Otherwise, the staff was terrific, helpful and made very good restaurant recommendations. (We really enjoyed the food at both "Loods" and "De Duyf") The hotel's dining room and the pub were very nice. And the breakfast was good. Nice place to stay. Location: about a 20 minute walk to town. Or it's a €5 taxi ride. Bikes can be rented in town and kept in front of the hotel in a large bike rack.
