The room was clean, older (1928 per the hosts yelling at me on the phone) but clean. The property is pretty. HOWEVER, the surrounding area leading up to the house was homeless lining the streets. When I was given my check in instructions, that's where I was told about street parking. The photos conveniently leave out all of the street parking where the cars line bumper to bumper. That's not shown in the aerial view. I am a female traveler who didn't feel comfortable parking and walking in the dark. Neighbors have signs up everywhere "no trespassing" "under surveillance". When I contacted the host it was simply to inform that I had chosen not to stay due to safety concerns and the condition of parts of the room. I didn't take photos of anything because I didn't intend to escalate anything. I had no reason, until the host called me. The host of this listing cannot get his emotions under control. I was instantly met with hostility. A female guest is saying they are not staying because of safety concerns, a male host calling with aggression isn't the answer! Enjoy your stay as long as you have no complaints. HOST-update the parking info on listing so we can decide. When a guest brings something to your attention - take a breath rather than call and unload on them. I would not have escalated this past the initial message had you not called and spoke to me the way you did. I understand pride in your property and it's your business but your behavior confirmed my concerns.
