The staff at this hotel were amazing! I greatly appreciated their work to get me checked in early after my 18+ hours of travel. The room was perfect and very clean. Definitely small compared to North American standards but was perfect for just me and my things! Super walkable area and lots of restaurant options. Being so close to the museum and grocery store were just what I needed for my half day in Wellington!

Excellent location just a short walk to Te Papa, multiple restaurants, TSB Arena, etc. We parked up then did everything else on foot. Staff were friendly. We were on the 5th floor and barely heard any street noise, which was a pleasant surprise. Our room was opposite the lifts though and we could hear people talking as they exited the lifts - fortunately no one was up in the middle of the night, but next time I’ll request a room further away.

Came to Wellington for The Food Show which is held at The Stadium the other end of town but this year wanted to stay in a different part of CBD. Bay Plaza Hotel was an easy walk from the Airport bus route and staff were welcoming and happy to store bags until room was ready. Room was spacious enough to be shared by 2 friends and the frequent buses made it easy to get around. Will happily stay again when visiting Wellington.
