Een plek om echt tot rust te komen We hebben een heerlijk verblijf gehad op WeidumerHout. De boerderijkamer is ruim, schoon en sfeervol ingericht. Het uitzicht over de weilanden is prachtig en de stilte is weldadig. Het personeel is vriendelijk en behulpzaam, zonder opdringerig te zijn. We hebben ’s avonds gegeten in het restaurant en waren positief verrast door de kwaliteit van het eten. Goed klaargemaakt, met aandacht voor smaak en presentatie. Comfort en charme op een bijzondere locatie De kamer biedt alle comfort die je mag verwachten, maar met een eigen karakter. Mooie materialen, een fijn bed en een rustige sfeer. Een verblijf op WeidumerHout voelt als een korte vakantie in eigen land. Ideaal als je er even helemaal tussenuit wilt zonder ver te reizen.

Bijzonder overnachten in Friesland, op een kleinschalige plek waar rust, natuur en ontspanning vanzelfsprekend zijn. Geen drukte, geen haast. Alles is gericht op comfort, stilte en genieten van het buitenleven. Ik verbleef in een Weide Suite op Pean-buiten Weidum. De suite was ruim, licht en slim ingericht, met uitzicht over de weilanden en het water van de Elfstedenroute. Vanaf het eerste moment voelde het ontspannen. Geen overdaad, maar precies wat je nodig hebt om op te laden. Een van de hoogtepunten van mijn verblijf was het diner in Restaurant WeidumerHout. Dit restaurant ligt op het landgoed zelf, en is daar ook echt een onderdeel van. Ik koos voor de Chef’s Special: een viergangenmenu met lokale ingrediënten. Elke gang was verrassend en goed in balans. Geen gedoe, gewoon goed eten op een mooie plek, op loopafstand van je suite. Het maakte het verblijf compleet. De hele sfeer op deze locatie is kleinschalig en persoonlijk. Je merkt dat hier wordt gewerkt met aandacht. De natuur, de stilte na 23.00 uur, het comfort van je eigen terras en de ruimte om je heen maken het makkelijk om echt tot rust te komen. En dat allemaal op maar een paar kilometer van Leeuwarden, de culturele hoofdstad van Friesland. Dichtbij de stad, maar het voelt alsof je ergens ver weg bent. Voor wie op zoek is naar een ontspannen verblijf met natuur, comfort en goed eten – zonder massa of drukte – is dit een plek om te onthouden.
