"Lazy Bear," a 1,000 square foot cabin on the Maumee River in Waterville, Ohio, features a king-size bed in the main bedroom with a wall-mounted TV, a private loft with a futon sofa bed with a small TV, another sofa bed just off the living room, and a sofa that can sleep a 7th guest. There are also several electric air mattresses. There is a large living room area with a big screen TV and an electric fireplace. The dining room will seat up to 8 people. The full-size kitchen is perfect for preparing meals. In addition to a refrigerator and stove with oven, there is a microwave, an air fryer, and both Keurig and drip style coffee makers. Of course, there are cooking utensils, plates, bowls, glasses, cups, silverware, and basic spices. Outside, there is a large deck overlooking the beautiful Maumee River with views of our islands. (There are no houses on the islands to obscure your view.) There is also an 8-person hot tub that is emptied and cleaned after every stay. You'll have your own firepit and a built-in park-style charcoal grill. (Please bring your own charcoal.) You'll also have complimentary use of kayaks, canoes, and even electric motorized fishing boats. There are bicycles for the 10-mile-long wooded hiking and biking trail that runs along the river. (Riverwood has its own trailhead!) We are very pet-friendly and there is never an extra charge for furry guests. (We also have extra food, bowls, leashes, and yard stakes in the event you forgot something.) Don't forget to get pictures at "Camp Peace," our 1965 orange and white VW Bus Camper! You can also search for arrowheads at our 200-year-old Indian reservation, Kinjoano Village. (Let us know and we'll give you some arrowheads that we've found over the past 30 years so you can hide them for the kids!) While we're secluded, grocery stores, gas stations, restaurants, and pubs, are just 2 1/2 miles away. We hope to see you soon! Parker & Cathy Hanson
