Hotel has always been mostly fine. However, showers are dangerous. Tub was somewhat tilted downwards. Had to be very careful when getting in and out. At a minimum, there should be wall rails in all showers because of the age of the hotel.

The building and lobby are beautiful. The rooms are spacious but the bathroom could use a more modern touch. It was very tight and there was only a single bath towel.

I stayed here around 10 years ago with my family, on our trip to the Washington DC area. While visiting colleges in DC, we stayed here again, a lot has changed in 10 years. The room we had was very dated, and not clean. This once great hotel, was not the same.

The property itself is nice however the hotel room is in need of great renovation. We arrived late around 11:30pm as we were arriving from out of state to celebrate my husbands birthday.I had a two queen bed deluxe room as it was a family trip me my husband and 8yr old . The hotel is lovely smells staff was friendly and welcoming but when we entered our room it was a horrible stitch of either a bug spray or some chemical. We were so tired I my daughter realized her bed sheets were dirty she was so disgusted she slept with us the entire trip even though they changed the sheets . The room is charming decor however in need of renovation the bathroom door didn’t stay closed it kept opening throughout the night on its own the lights were old fashioned with timers on them so they turned off on their own the vents were old and dusty it wasn’t what we expected from a popular 4 star hotel it was only a weekend trip but when we come to next time DC I don’t think I will stay there again.

Lovely hotel, my children enjoyed every moment. They even made a few friends at the pool. We will definitely be back, maybe for thanksgiving 💕. The water pressure was awesome. Friendly vibes from other guest as well.
