We couldn’t have asked for a nicer property in a cute neighborhood with great hosts (and dogs!). If you’re visiting to DC this is a great choice. The neighborhood is walkable and close to many great restaurants and a metro station. The onsite parking is a huge bonus.

What a beautiful place to stay in DC. Walking distance to all the things needed to visit the area. We rented a car to travel to nearby areas and was pleased to have a private secure parking spot. The host has everything you would need for a short stay. The check in and out process was easy and the host communicated throughout the stay to ensure our stay was pleasant. The neighborhood was warm and inviting, very safe to walk around, night and day to local shops, parks, restaurants or grocery shopping. Being from the Midwest my wife and I were nervous about our first visit to DC but this place and its owners made it the best experience possible. We would definitely stay again.

We stayed here for one night during a family road trip with our dog. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. When we arrived, the entryway to the apartment was swarming with mosquitoes, making it difficult to get inside without being bitten. Once indoors, we were met with a very strong garbage-like odor that never went away, even after trying to air it out. The apartment itself matched the photos, but the smell made it unpleasant to be in. The bathroom toilet was also not working properly, as the tank would not refill, leaving it unusable for our family of four. On top of this, we saw a large cockroach in the living room early in the morning before we checked out. While the space looks nice in pictures, the odor, maintenance issues, and pests made it an uncomfortable stay for us, and we left much earlier than planned.

Great neighborhood and even better hosts!

My sister and I loved this property! We came for just a few days to enjoy the city, and this place was the perfect spot for us to come home to and unwind and truly feel safe in our environment. It was also really convenient to have so many places for us to eat at, just within a mile of the home!! Plus there were E-bikes/scooters everywhere and that was one of our main forms of transportation!

A lovely 4 nights in Capitol Hill! Great!

Three old college buddies (from the 60s!) wanted a reunion in DC. We found Tommy's residence on a lovely tree-lined street with charming townhouses to be perfect. There was a king bed for two and I slept on the comfortable couch. I can't imagine doing that arrangement for two couples though so this is really perfect for a couple and two kids who don't mind the couch and a mattress on the floor, for example.One thing that could be improved was the arrival instructions. We ended up sitting up on the porch and the lock number didn't work. Tommy eventually responded and told us our door was UNDER the porch but that's how it should have been worded so we were confused. Also, to activate the "green button" to raise the rear-alley parking area seemed, according to the instructions, to be inside the house after one enters. Looked all around and finally discovered it in the back parking area and at its very rear location near that electric gate. That should be made clearer as well. Other than those two minor things, we had a wonderful stay in a great neighborhood. Everything is nearby: shops, grocery, and scores of great eateries. Perfect! Yes, we would return.

Beautiful and Cozy

I had the pleasure of staying as my daughter’s softball team, University of Dayton, seated first in the A10 Championship. The place was beautiful and very clean. Close to restaurants and grocery stores. I will stay again when I return to the area.

Great location

Hosts had a easy check in and check out process. The apartment was clean and updated. The off street parking was a nice bonus. The location was great. The neighborhood seemed very safe and was quiet at night. Easy walk to the metro. Would definitely recommend and would stay again in the future.

Great location in DC!

The property was exactly as described on the listing! Very clean and a wonderful neighborhood. We felt so safe walking to and from the metro even sometimes fairly late at night. The host was so quick and thorough with responses! If we ever make our way back to DC we would definitely stay here again!

Quick Weekend Trip

We stayed here for the Rock N Roll half marathon and it was perfect!!! They have an open garage where you can park, which if you have a bigger vehicle can be a little tricky (we have a Tacoma and had no issues), but SUPER cute neighborhood and only about a 7-8 min walk to the nearest metro station!

Quite Neighborhood

Walking distance to everything we wanted to do. This property fit the wife, me and our teen comfortably. This place has everything you need and theres a Safeway a couple blocks down to get everything else. Thank you for letting us use your place.
