The room was in good condition. The staff was awesome. The fact that the restaurant disconnected to the hotel was closed with disappointing. That’s why the three stars.

The staff was lovely however I didn't have hot water (not even warm water) for my entire 3 night stay. Maintenance came 4 times in one day and finally they stayed long enough to know that the warm water lasted only 45 seconds. I asked them to comp at least one room night as this is a pretty big issue. My invoice was emailed to me later and they did not do this. They are currently under construction and the rooms they are booking are old and not functioning. Highly recommend booking elsewhere until they are done.

The building is under reconstruction; therefore, daytime noise could be expected. The rooms need refurbishment, and the worn-out furniture needs to be replaced. No refrigerator, nor a wardrobe in the room (hanging opportunity in the bathroom). The TV programs did't work. Cleaning staff tried to enter the room against the "No disturb" sign hanging on the doorknob, claiming that many guests forget to remove it. The reception was good and professional. Great location in downtown Washington DC.

Overall, nice room and hotel and staff was great! However, extra fees when booking AND deposit wasn't refunded! Construction ongoing so why charging guests extra when they have less amenties to enjoy is wrong. Won't return.
