Perfect River Stay

Absolute blast. It's directly off the northway, completely private, and was perfect for our whole family. The kids had so much fun jumping off the dock that we never even left the property all week. We paddled around Schroon River and caught dozens of bluegill and little bass.Great Adirondack vacation!

Beautiful home in pretty setting by the river. We loved hearing the rushing water and fishing from the dock. While the setting is not too far from the road, the river drowns out traffic noise.Home was roomy and well stocked. We enjoyed local restaurants.

Peaceful Getaway

This property was fantastic for a large family, lots of space for everyone. It was right on the water with fantastic views. The home was fully stocked with everything you need to have during a vacation. Clean & very delightful! We would certainly come back & recommend to others. Thank you for our stay!

Skiing gateway

Relaxing and peaceful stay in river sound night after skiing in Gore Mountains. Easy and quick ride to Gore. After long day was nice to rest in big, spacious and charming house.

Early Fall stay

We had a great time for a short trip to the river house. Very clean and comfortable. Tons of space and multiple places to hang out outside. The sounds of the river flowing was very relaxing. Thank you.

Beautiful view

Staying at the lake view house was absolutely breathtaking. The stunning view of the lake was incredibly relaxing and made the whole experience unforgettable. Waking up to the tranquil beauty of the water and surrounding nature was the perfect way to start each day. The house itself was comfortable and well-equipped, but it was the view that truly stole the show. I can't wait to go back!

Very clean, spacious home. Comfortable beds and everything we needed for a long family weekend. 20 minute ride to Lake george. The highlight for my kids was the Pacman game. Staff was helpful and responsive when we had a question!

The Adirondack Experience

Amazing place and location. Good thing the water drowns out the road noise. Check in was confusing based on digital lock vs lock box. Bed choices are great based on your confort level. Would recommend.

This house kitchen was well equipped. Bedding n lots of towels provided. Lots of outside chairs provided as well as fishing poles. Loved that the house was on State Rd 8. It was so convenient to travel to Lake George and Schroon Lake. Stewart’s was down the road and had the best ice cream cones, so cheap. Sticks n Stones restaurant was our favorite place to eat.

Riverfront retreat

This home is ideally located looking over the Scroon river. They have a large soling yard that runs down to the river with a floating dock that made access very easy. The home was well kept and clean with 3 large bedrooms on the main level of the home. The back deck ran the full length of the home and offered a comfortable space for relaxing. Would recommend this property.

Relaxing

Easy to find, house was clean. There is only an A/C window unit in the one bedroom. The kitchen was well stocked. Bring k-cups for coffee. We loved being able to swim and fish off the dock. Short drive to Lake George. There is a small grocery store nearby. We would stay here again.

This was the perfect spot for a week-long getaway. It was surprisingly equipped for winter weather!

The website was pretty easy to use, and the app made it very convenient to check the rules and passcodes. The managers were responsive and helpful. The only difficulty was the driveway, as it’s not really made for winter weather. I would suggest adding some winter-friendly features if you continue to rent the property year round.

Weekend With Family and Friends

Brought my wife, children, as well as some close family friends for a relaxing ADK weekend getaway. The home was perfect for our needs! The home was well equipped and updated with modern amenities. While the home was clean, it did show some normal signs of wear and tear. This did not take away from any of the overall experience however. The property is gorgeous and truly riverfront on the beautiful Schroon River. Would absolutely recommend this property and stay here again!

Great Escape

Great location. We enjoyed our overdue gateway, very peaceful, though it’s very close to the bridge, the traffic noise didn’t bother us at all - was drowned out by the water rushing. The mattress in master bedroom is too soft for us to sleep in (found blankets or something tucked in between mattress and box spring). We wished that they disclosed about the cameras installed outside

Secluded and great view

The property was great. House was wonderful. Easy location but feels wonderfully secluded. Dock has beautiful view of water. Loved hanging on the deck! Vasca, however, was not a good experience to work with. We had several issues with them. When we finally got connected to the local agents Danielle and Pru, they were so helpful and wonderful. I was grateful for their help.

Overall very nice experience! The property was beautiful and really enjoyed our time there and the area. Few areas that need improvement: The outside porches were never cleaned, including chairs had mud and sap on them. We had to clean off. The sliding door was broken and used wood board to secure. The barbecue doors were broken and came off. The carpet in hallway should be replaced, a lot of stains. Had canoes but no paddles or life jackets. We found the management staff to be very responsive, when we had to contact them about the porches and no air conditioners. They sent someone out the very next morning and the young man was excellent. Thanks again for a wonderful vacation! Best, Reiver

site says "No Parking" which is obviously wrong. Straighten it out as it is confusing. Because i couldn't get any meaningful answer from the stupid chat box I almost didnt take the place.10am check out is B.S. And then VRBO offers a later checkout --for a fee. 11am is usual and this is just another way to ding customer.Place relatively clean but kitchen dishtowels and potholders grungry, stained.Any kitchen should have at least one non stick fry pan-this one doesn't. All the other p&ps were quality though.Not having dishwasher is pita, but we knew that going in. Not the biggest deal.On positive side: wife and daughterinlaw say its Cute. Proximity to Gore is a plus. Its quiet, despite being close to highway as rushing river drowns out noise. Interior is quiet too, ie room to room. The living area has great comfortable lounge chairs that can be turned to face each other for games or all one direction for movies. The river view is very nice. I can imagine its a great place in summer too. Fishing should be good if I can read water.

wonderful house

overall- would definitely stay here again. very cool house with everything you need (except a kayak/canoe/paddleboard) and the location couldnt be better. 10 mins from brant lake marina where we rented a pontoon boat for the day, 20 mins from lake george and about 20 mins to great escapes. you literally don't need to drive more than 25 mins to get anywhere. the ONLY issue that I have is the listing can be a little misleading in that the house is not located ON brant lake. It's located ON Schroon River (which is very cool) but it doesnt exactly lend itself to swimming right in your backyard. we rented kayaks from a store called crossroads which is 3 mins from the house, but you can't go very far with them due to the rapids. other than that one small caviat, everything else was picture perfect and i would definitely stay here again and/or recommend to a friend/family member.
