Overall the house was nice. There were a few cleanliness issues, like what appeared to be dried fruit mix dumped in the cutlery drawer and left there. The basic amenities like soap and detergent were not readily available, was enough for one wash. The hair dryer was missing and the host didn’t offer to provide a replacement or even apologize for the inconvenience really, was just told if I couldn’t find it one of the last guest must have taken it. Seems like the property isn’t inspected thoroughly between guests. The grounds behind the property are quiet but the property does sit a few feet from a busy road. So if car noise is an issue for you while trying to sleep, may want to think about that. There were also some amenities listed that were not available. I believe it stated things like beach towels in the listing but when I asked I was told there were none. Would have been nice if the host provided suggestions on where to get/rent towels and beach chairs etc. compared to other rentals we’ve stayed in, this was one of the least willing to provide suggestions or appear genuinely concerned how our stay was going. The property is nice and it was nice to see that a lot of the original charm was left in place. The location, although not walkable to anything, was easily accessible (via car) to travel around the island. We flew in and ended up renting a car. Ubering proved to be not so easy and costly. Was much easier having the freedom of your own vehicle to get around.
