This property was a real little gem of a find. The owners live on site and were there to welcome us upon arrival. They are very friendly and helpful, and although they speak little English (and we speak little French!) it was fun conversing with them. The property is quirky and about as far from a corporate hotel as you can find. There is excellent secure parking. For a true experience of genuine French hospitality, this is a great place to go!

Really beautiful setting. Really clean rooms artfully decorated. Gracious hosts, food very good to excellent, Dinner was good and fun to meet other guests. Auxerre close by if you want to eat there. Nice old historic town and church.

Le Manoir les Chapelles is, as it's name suggests a re-purposed old manor house in rural France. Therefore don't expect it to be like a Howard Johnsons or other modern hotel chain. There is no elevator, nor would one expect one. Breakfast was wonderful, with lots of local goodies, the area is very quiet and safe and it was just the kind of place I like when travelling in Europe.

Very comfortable and clean

Excellent stay and spotlessly clean. Gated yard so your car is safe. There is a indoor pool but we did not use it. Good quality breakfast. Would highly recommend a stay here.

Small town near highway...

The owner was accommodating. Though he didn’t speak English,we understood him well enough. He invited us to join the other french guests for dinner and appetizers. We did not join for dinner but heard it was great.

Nous avons passé cinq nuitées au Manoir des Chapelles du 09 au 14/09. Des hôtes très accueillant et attentionnés au confort et à la satisfaction de leurs clients. Les petits-déjeuners sont extraordinaires en variétés et qualités des produits et à volonté. Il en est de même si vous prenez l'option du diner. Aucune fausse note, la perfection !

Notre hôte nous a très bien accueillis. La chambre était spacieuse ainsi que la salle de bains. Très propre. Nous avons eu un petit déjeuner très complet sucré (avec gâteaux faits maison, plusieurs choix de confitures et du miel, viennoiseries, pain, fruits et jus d'orange maison) et salé (charcuterie et fromages). Expérience à renouveler sans hésiter.
