The broken air conditioning really put a damper on our stay. The room was nice and clean, and we loved the private balcony. It was not convenient to check in/out at a different location and there was not a person at the reception area at our location. When we called about the air conditioning being broken we were told it would be fixed. When we called a second time, we were told it could not be fixed - we were not offered other accommodations, a discount, or any compensation.

I understand that it's old but we had to go check in some other hotel then walk to our hotel and make our way into a lonely abandoned like hotel. As soon as we enter we smelled the warm urine smell like if a bunch of drunk men pissed in the corner for days. Second we only got a small fan and small AC unit for a huge high ceiling room that would never even close to cool down due to the Sun hitting directly to the room for the majority of the day. It wasn't even in 90s yet but it felt in hundreds even worse at night.

The room I had did not have any water view at all. The room is ok, the door doesn’t have room number, I suspected it is not a hotel room but a staff resting room. Check in process was difficult which was 5 minutes walking distance away from the property, and it is not friendly to locate for first time visitor in the Venice area, specially if the cellphone internet doesn’t work very well in that area.

"This hotel is not ideal for larger individuals. If you're over 6'2" and 200 pounds, it may not be the most comfortable choice. It's not terrible, but it's not great either. The room has just the basics: a bed, an AC unit, a TV, and a very small bathroom. It's a place to sleep for the night, nothing more. It's not fancy or aesthetically pleasing, just functional for a short stay."

You do check in at a different location than the actual hotel. The wonderful lady that checked us in gave precise directions and it could not have been easier. She was kind and efficient!! The hotel felt authentic and the “lobby” had a view of the canal. The AC worked very well. We felt comfortable and safe for our stay.

Had to walk another 5 minutes to get keys at another place. Lugging luggage in long & steep stairs (no elevator) was a big struggle! Small bathtub with hump is slippery w/ no hand rails to hold on. I do not recommend especially w/ Seniors or people with having back or walking issues!

The property said we were upgraded to their boutique hotel. We stayed at Locanda Ai Santi Apostoli, the staff was nice and very accommodating - we guess all their hotels are like that. Easy and convenient check in. We arrived after check in hours, so the hotel provided us a link via email to check our self in for when arrived. Once again the staff was great. Small, old hotel that was comfortable.

So here how it is work the picture they will show you is totally different than the hotel you will stay in. I guess there is two different hotels merge in somehow together. On expedia they show you all the pictures of a good hotel and then give you the keys to the one 10 minute walk And probably 50 stairs to climb. This should be actually illegal on what they are doing on expedia. I saw my room and Immediately walked out. Didn’t even stay for 5 mins. Do not waste your money here.

Hot in July!

Cleaniness was very good, enought towel. Shampoo and all the triningd but THE AIR CONDITIONING DID NOT WORK!!! IT WAS EXTRMELY . They did provide one fan but it did not reach the other sideof the room. There was no central outlet to have rhe fan centalized.

Awesome view and great area. Close to the Grand Canal. The A/C wasn’t really working. And the shower/tub wasn’t draining very well. It was also very slippery.

The room was dated, the view was terrible. The location was great. I felt safe in the streets, the room didn't feel overly safe though. The kettle, fridge and A/C were wonderful. I liked the location- once I got to it. I had to report to a different hotel to get more instructions..directions to the one I had actually booked.
