The reidence was very clean. There were other people stsaying there and hardly heard them at all. The owners were very cordidal.
Our Bathroom sink and tub did not drain wel. Also could ot have a bath, if you wanted one.
I would recommend.

Room and beds were comfortable, felt homely. Property very clean. When arriving met a gentleman who gave us very little information, asked name and told us we were downstairs and gave us door code. But that was it. No more info, so we were not sure what we could access. There was a kettle and mugs in our room, we noticed some beverage items in the entrance but not sure if we could access, being respectful that this was also someone’s home, owners lived at property. On leaving we met a lady assume owner who was very polite and friendly.

We picked Yuelai Guest House based on price, availability and location. There were only 3 reviews on Expedia at the time, however, the pictures appeared good.
We were first in an upstairs room for 2 nights, with a little balcony and shower only in the bathroom. Cleanliness was generally very good, as was an overall feeling of safety. There was a provided room key. The neighbourhood was quiet. Street parking out front was adequate; no complaints. Only things lacking were air conditioning and hand towels/washcloths. Everything was bright and light, lots of windows.
We were asked to move to a ground level room for the 3rd night with a separate bathroom + tub/shower. This move was unexpected until we arrived. We wish there had been some way for Expedia to inform us of this arrangement at the time of booking. No room key was provided for the downstairs rooms. Also, no garbage containers, although the hosts did provide bags when asked. Towels weren't as plush as the ones upstairs and again, no hand towels/washcloths.
Overall, Yeulai Guest House is well worth staying at, if you don't need air conditioning - daytime temperature for our stay was around 24-26 C, so aircon would've been a welcome feature for us.

I was booked and paid, using expedia. However; I was told the guest house was occupied and full, after driving over an hour to get to the house. It was disaster and very disturbing to go through this experience.
