The location of this condo was perfect for our needs. We visit Vail every June for the GoPro Mtn Games and enjoy staying in the Lionshead area b/c the rates are usually better, it's less congested than the main village, and it's on the south side of I-70, which allows for ideal walking access to Vail Village and surrounding areas. There was only 1 other review when we reserved it (as it was a "recent" or "new" listing), so we kept our fingers crossed that our top two priorities would be fulfilled: 1) that it would be clean and 2) have comfortable beds. We were delighted to discover both were true! We also enjoyed the layout, which allowed our family - me, my wife, and our three kids (ages 8, 6, and 4) - to comfortably spread out and yet be close enough for easy access.
The condo is a bit dated, and the audio/visual amenities need to be updated, but the host readily acknowledged as much and indicated they're slowly but surely modernizing it. The kitchen was outfitted nicely with everything including two coffee options - Kurig and regular drip pot, salt/pepper, spray oil, utensils, wine opener, cutting boards, etc. (you just have to hunt around pretty good for some items), and we felt like the host expected us, as we walked in to a nicely-lit space with a "welcome" basket on the counter!
Pros: location, rate, comfort, cleanliness, communication with/access to host, good sense of being expected, pool + hot tub, super easy access to playground and Lionshead gondola and eateries
Cons: outdatedness of some features, confusing operation of main TV (it's Roku, and some basic channels like ABC, NBC, etc. were locked), no xtra supply of toilet paper or tissues, I-70 noise is SUPER loud when windows are open
