We really liked the staff that chatted with us and helped out when we had issues with the TV--never did get it to work! The hotel was fun to roam around but the breakfast was limited and there was no one that helped out with the food. The room was very pretty and comfortable and we enjoyed our stay aside from a few flies and the outdoor odor of pigs.

Beautiful old hotel

Nice historic out of the way hotel. The location was right off the main highway so it made a great mid point stopover. We were in the tower room which was on the 3rd floor. We we warned about the spiral staircase but the room with a big tub made it worthwhile.

The hotel is so lovely and cozy, bed so comfortable. The people are amazing so nice and helpful, went above and beyond to help make out stay perfect. Loved staying there so much!

A real castle

It was fun to stay at a real castle. I enjoyed touring the first floor of the main building. My room was very comfortable except for the bathroom, which was cold and dreary. The wifi did not work at all, but I suppose that's what ones give up to stay in a castle. I believe that the staff was stretched too thin. There seemed to be only one person doing everything except cooking.

Great hotel

It was a great hotel out in the beautiful landscape of Denmark. The atmosphere was perfect and the food was lovely. The only really negative part was the smell from the farms.

A different hotel

Apon arriving we parked in the hotel car park and got out of the car to be greeted by the smell of a pig farm, right next door. You walk across the the moat's bridge up to the hotel, in front of you is a large door, with a faded red carpet going up the steps, there is a sign pointing to reception indicating that you should go to the corner of the building and down some old steps to reach it. reception is on a lower level than the ground floor, once we had checked in we went back to the car for the cases, lugged them accross the car park & down the steps then had to get them up a narrow SPIRAL staircase to our room. Requires a bit of effort. NO Lift. Our room was comfortable with a double bed and a single bed in it. If you walked along the hall and into what they called the living rooms these rooms where full of old furniture something like Louise X1V would have had, I thought it was great, Whacky but great. The breakfast was ok

Die Unterkunft ist in die Jahre gekommen und nicht ganz sauber - bei einem Schlosshotel kann man das vielleicht erwarten - es riecht massiv nach Schweine Stall !!! Sehr unangenehm - die Kosten für einen Hund mit 250 Kr / ca. 34 Euro sind definitiv zu hoch - aber am schlimmsten war die Täuschung beim Frühstück - beim check-In wurde sagt das Frühstück sei inklusive- leider was es nicht so - beim Check out wurde eine Rechnung gestellt - die Mitarbeiterin „Alte Dame“ bestand auf die Bezahlung !!! Die Kollegin am Vorabend hätte zwar eine falsche Aussage getätigt - aber ihr wäre es egal - wenn das eine Masche ist - dann sage ich absolute abzocke !!! Ich habe es am Ende bezahlt für 5 Personen - 690 kr / 93 Euro - aber sowas ist unglaublich - absolut keine Empfehlung !!!!!

Rigtig dårlig oplevelse

Jeg bookede 2 værelser fra onsdag til torsdag. Alt så fint ud og jeg fik en mail om at jeg kunne bestille middag i restauranten hvis jeg var interesseret i det. Det passede mig fint og jeg bestilte bord til 2. Dagen efter modtog jeg så en mail om at restauranten var lukket, så vi måtte finde et andet sted at spise, til gengæld kunne vi tilkøbe morgenmad. Jeg bookede bord på en restaurant i nærheden og sagde ja til morgenmaden, som vi dog tidligst kunne få kl. 8. I går kom så dagen hvor vi skulle overnatte på slottet. Vi ankom ved 17 tiden og det viste sig at slottet var helt tomt. Ingen ansatte og ingen andre gæster. Vi fandt et stykke papir ved døren til receptionen hvor der stod at vores nøgle sad i døren til værelserne. I det ene værelse var der ingen varme, intet tv signal og meget dårligt internet. I det andet værelse var der varme men heller ikke tv eller godt internet. Hele slottet var mørkt på nær i vores længe og vi havde ingen vi kunne henvende os til. Meget mærkelig oplevelse og hvis vi havde vidst at det "bare" var et slags bed and breakfast hvor vi var HELT alene, så havde vi helt sikkert booket værelse på den lokale kro i stedet. Derudover skal man være opmærksom på at slottet ligge klods op af en stor svinefarm og der er en meget intens lugt af gylle. Rigtig skidt oplevelse.
