We stayed at the Alt Hotel at the Toronto Airport before and after our airline travel in March/2026. The hotel is perfectly situated for an overnight stay of this nature. We booked the "room and parking" package, with the parking directly across the street. The room is compact but exactly what we needed for this short stay. It was very clean and updated with a comfortable queen bed and a Nespresso machine for morning coffee. Unfortunately there was no safe in the room but we felt completely comfortable without it. I would also like to see 2 bottles of water in the room for coffee - it might just be me but I'm not a fan of getting morning coffee water from the bathroom sink, albeit exactly the same as from a kitchen!
The restaurant downstairs has the best pizza ever! And it's okay to bring it to your room, which we did the first night but after returning, decided to eat in the restaurant as there is no really good place to eat it in the room.
The "Terminal Link" train is a 2 minute (outside walk) from the hotel. We didn't even bother bundling up on our way as it was so close. The tram runs 24/7 every 4-8 minutes and is free. Fantastic!
Overall, we would definitely stay here again as opposed to the other airport hotel where we had to trek back and forth from Park 'n Fly.
