Step back in time - the place appears to have been updated recently, everything in like new antique condition, but not so much you're afraid to touch. The room (king suite) was spotless, nicely appointed and well, just perfect.
My only gripe would be that for breakfast you are sent across the street to the Mizpah Hotel (another super charming, restored antique hotel), where either they don't care or want to serve anyone breakfast. It appeared that even though the restaraunt filled quickley (we were the second table sat when we arrived, five or six more tables filled soon after - only one person appeared to be working, serving one table at a time. Took orders from first table after we sat, disappeared for 25 minutes, then delivered their order. No other orders or contact with the server for the 25 minutes after she left with the first tables order. We left and went to Strawberry Hill, which was quick and excellent in every way.
