What I like about the property is the cleanliness and the service provide given to the guests at Bunka Hostel Tokyo. They have free wifi, provide breakfast, and washroom facilities for you to use. You don’t have to worry about travel far from the hostel. There are sightseeing’s and food very close by. You can stay connected with the latest food trends and make sure don’t forget to visit the Sensoji temple and Kaminarimon. Without these 2 visitations your Tokyo trip won’t be complete. Sky tree is alittle far but still in the Asakusa area.

Great place, just lacks storage

This hostel is a great choice, it’s reasonable priced and very clean. Check in was simple, staff are very helpful. The down side was the size of the locker space. The secure locker small and can only accommodate a few items. And the us know where to put your bag, peoples items are either in their bunk or in the walk way.

Best hostel in Tokyo

I have been to many hostels in Tokyo but this is the one. Probably the best hostel in Tokyo in terms of cleanliness, location, and friendliness. I highly recommend this place for travelers who wants to save money but still had some standards

I like on the location of this hostel is located. Near to public transports, convenient stores, and sightseeing place (Sensoji Temple). The place also offer discounts to the food that they served but if you’re craving for something else, you could just grab it near the place at a very cheap bargains!!!

Grand Location

I couldn't believe myself when I arrived at the hostel. It is surrounded by everything. I mean if you have been to Tokyo many times and no need to go nowhere but shopping, you simply walk a few steps any direction, you will hit several malls. Food also abundant from cheap eat to high end. 4 different subway stations nearby. I came directly from Narita to Asakusa via Heisei Skyaccess which is the cheapest train without Japan Rail Pass (1,200 yen). I stayed 7 nights at Bunka. They provided me with a fresh towel every other day. I stayed at some other places, 1 towel for the whole 2 weeks. Toilets and shower rooms on each floor. There are 1-2 female only floors. The space around the beds is quite spacious for a hostel. Not tight at all. I can easily open my large suitcase lying on the floor and other people still have room to go around me. Internet is also crazy fast. I like how they designed the bunk beds. There is a wall halfway of each bed, so top beds won't see bottom beds and vice versa. It makes each bed seem private even when the curtain is opened. By the way, the famous Kaminarimon is right around the corner.

This hostel is close to Senso Ji, many restaurant around, very convenient. Provide a new towel every da, it is a big plus, The “one free drink per day” advertisement is a gimmick, they only provide a small shoot of saki per day and no other choices. One day, the staff only pour me a shoot that is 50% filled (it does not have to fill to the rim, but at least need to be 80% fillled), I complaint then she reluctantly filled it to 80%. This is SAMLL THING, but shows service attitude.

the property is not so far from a subway station - tawaramachi station of ginza line, and the atmosphere around there is quite energetic - lots of people there. the hostel is pretty clean, and there are staff cleaning bathrooms, providing new towels, and replacing your linens everyday (you must keep everything out of your loft, so they can replace). the staff at reception is quite good at communicating in english. in the shared kitchen, there is a fridge that you can store your food by putting a tag on it. but some culinary equipment should be added.
