I saw many Japanese business people there, it is walkable to the Takushima Station, by taxi is under 1000 yen. I asked front desk staff about where is the nearest bus stop to get on buses to the Tokushima Station, but both the 2 staff on duty couldn’t give me a clear idea. Later I found out the bus stop is just 200 meters away: walk out from hotel main entrance, turn left walking to the cross road and turn left again. Only 250 yen to the Tokushima Station.

Automated carparking facility on site. Check in and check out processes are very efficient. There is a 7-11 across the street, but not many restaurants in the neighbourhood from a short walk. The room is bright with good lighting. Free breakfast provided.

Just what you’d expect from a good quality, budget hotel. Breakfast was great, location was perfect, wifi was adequate, beds were comfortable and the room had everything you needed. Note to families: Expedia sell a twin room as suitable for 2ad 2ch but it’s not really as beds are single beds. We were OK because we’re all quite small but it’s not really suitable. Get two rooms unless you’re prepared to sleep in single beds.

Consistency is key at Toyoko Inn

Toyoko Inn Tokushima-eki Bizan-guchi hotel is located about a 10-15 minute walk from Tokushima train station but very close the Awa Odori Kaikan. The hotel also provides free shuttle service to/from Tokushima train station upon request and shuttle availability. Like all other Toyoko Inn hotels, you get free breakfast and consistent service, amenities and rooms. The staff here was good, quick and polite.
