Location:<br>Thum is located in the scenic Ore Mountains at the foot of the Greifensteine, home to Europe’s most beautiful natural amphitheater and the Greifenbach reservoir with its swimming beach.<br><br>The cultural capital of Chemnitz is very close by and can be reached by car in about 20–30 minutes via the B95. There is a bus route between Thum and Chemnitz.<br>Great events such as concerts and various other activities. Museums: Art Collection, Gunzenhauser Museum, Schlossberg Museum, Industrial Museum, Saxon Vehicle Museum, and many more. <br><br>Surrounding area:<br>The region is surrounded by a large forest area with many beautiful hiking and biking trails. The famous 140-km-long tourist route, known as the Silver Road, runs directly through the neighboring town of Ehrenfriedersdorf, just 2 km away. The mining town of Annaberg is located about 13 km from Thum. During the Advent season, one of the most beautiful Christmas markets in the Ore Mountains takes place in Annaberg-Buchholz. In Thum, too, a Christmas market is traditionally held on the first Sunday of Advent, featuring concerts in churches and at the Thum Community Center. <br>The Ore Mountains region is also home to numerous castles and fortresses, such as Schlettau Castle, Wolkenstein Castle, Scharfenstein Fortress, and Augustusburg, to name just a few. <br><br>Amenities:<br>The 55 m² apartment features a living/dining room with a cozy sofa area (which can be used as a sleeper sofa), a bedroom, a bathroom with a shower and toilet, and a kitchen. <br>Two large, bright, and cheerfully furnished rooms: a bedroom and a living room. The living room is furnished with a large table for 6 people, 2 armchairs, and a display cabinet.
