We enjoyed our stay at Placid Acres. It served our needs perfectly. Jackie was an excellent host, pleasant and very accommodating. The fresh farm eggs was a nice and delicious bonus.

Jackie quickly answered our questions and was welcoming. We particularly liked the quiet off-the-beaten path location and the ability to cook our own meals in the kitchen. We will plan on staying here again when in the area.

A great get-away! The upstairs room has serene views of the crops and woods where the property is located. Parking is right on the grassy lot of the property. The climb up the wooden steps isn’t bad. The host put small, tasteful details throughout the apartment that made the place cheery and welcoming but not cluttered. She also created a binder of information on places to eat, local history, and things to do. The kitchen has a full-sized refrigerator, stove, microwave, Keurig, electric kettle & an assortment of K-cups & teabags. The sitting area has 2 recliners that make it perfect to settle down with a good book. Wifi signal is weak but our T-mobile phones worked fine on its network for email, FB & YouTube. Everything is clean. Keep in mind that this is an updated older property surrounded by fields & woods. A big plus is the host - she’s accommodating & very responsive even to ‘out of curiosity’ questions!

My wife and I are there for a few nights to hang out for the Darlington Nascar race! Short, 30 min drive to the track. If you can find another reason to visit Bennettsville, this property is Well worth the stay!! The town is full of rich history with many historic sites to visit. The property was Amazing!! It was very peaceful and clean. Ms. Jackie was a wonderful host! Once we got there, they were very prompt to respond if we needed anything. We will definitely be back if they allow us ;) God is Great---

This place is a gem! It is a quiet beautiful spot that I would recommend no matter what you're in the area for. Very clean, with a air conditioning, full kitchen, etc. You will be delighted you picked this place. Less than a couple hours away from Myrtle Beach. The host is AWESOME! Do yourself a favor, and grab this spot if you can!

Quaint and quiet retreat

We had a lovely time staying here. Came in for the race weekend. Not a bad drive distance from the track or Bennettsville. You are in a beautiful country setting. Great place for a couple. All the needed amenities for a short vacation. Well done.

This was a wonderful property, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Jackie was so responsive and kind. I can tell she cares about the porperty! She had a whole binder on info of things to do and places to eat. We didn't have the time to fully take advantage of the location, but it seems like a lot of interesting things to do nearby. The house is behind the hosts' house but felt totally private as there was a good amount of space between us. I believe it was either a historic house or property which was very cool. If you're looking for a clean, safe wonderful space in the area I would highly recommend this space.

Private Country Stay

My wife and I were traveling through and stayed for just one night. The property had everything we needed. We especially appreciated the kitchen area so we could prepare food for ourselves. Super quiet and private stay. Highly recommend!
