Summary:

Perfect location to come and go to all of Taupo's key tourist attractions. This is a private and spacious very comfortable bedsit. If you seek a great space to relax and enjoy a good book, the garden is so inviting. Take a short 3 minute walk to Zest cafe, refresh with a great coffee, while there buy an aged steak from the butcher to sizzle on the BBQ. To top it off Taupo's finest restaurant, The Brantry is 4 mins walk away, you really are in the perfect location. Comfy bed and a sunny spot.

A comfortable bed, this well thought out space offers you your own bathroom, work space and a Kitchenette. Complementary coffee, tea and milk. Beautiful outdoor space under the tree to enjoy.

The Neighborhood:

The Bird Area in Taupo is a well sort after location, it offers proximity to the beach and town. Within 3 mins walk to Rifle Range shops and you have a Veggie shop, one of Taupo's best cafe's Zest, a butcher's (with fresh fish) and a grocery store, all are favourite's to the locals. The award winning restaurant, The Brantry has built its reputation on top quality New Zealand cuisine that is unique to Taupo, a must, if here for a celebration.



Getting Around:

Flat and an easy work to town and the beach.



Other Things to Note:

Rotorua is only one hours drive and Hawkes Bay within 1.5 hours drive for a day of sightseeing and for the active traveller the Ski field and Tongariro crossing is an 1.5 hours drive. The Glowworm Caves are also 2 hours drive and Hobbiton 1.5 hours making Taupo the heart of the North Island and the perfect place to stay and explore from.

I'm Kerry I manage the property for Gillian. We like to give our guests their privacy but Kerry is available by phone or text to answer any questions and we are only ever 10-15 minutes drive away if needed in an emergency.

Enjoyed our stay here. Unfortunately it was raining so we didn't get to enjoy the grounds much, but the nice collection of books included fiction and nonfiction, including art least two books on new Zealand birds which we used to identify some we had recently seen. Easy walk to local shops and downtown. We also made the day trip to Rotorua while staying here.One thing was it seemed to be semi-occupied by someone else (maybe the owners) while not rented out - papers and other items in office/workspace, a raincoat, and food in freezer making it unclear what was intended for our use vs. theirs.
Stayed 2 nights in Nov 2025
