Step into a scenic woodland walk in the heart of the Limousin countryside, meander around one of this area’s beautiful tranquil lakes. Go fishing; watch wildlife; see a variety of unusual birds, including spotted woodpeckers, green woodpeckers, buzzards, blue herons, hoopoes and the beautiful little redstarts! Perhaps you will be lucky enough to spot a Red Kite! Catch a glimpse of the rarely seen Wild Boar living naturally in the forest and if you are very patient, stalk to see wild deer.
For the more energetic, swimming, hiking, golfing, bike and walking trails, sailing, and kayaking, lake and river fishing are all available locally, here in the Creuse and during the winter months, skiing is also available at nearby Mont-Dore.
