Disappointing Stay - Under Renovations - Stay Away!
Check-in staff was rude and unwelcoming rough way to start our trip. One of the more frustrating parts of our stay was the need to be shuttled between our room and valet desk. The room was extremely underwhelming. It felt old, worn down hence the renovations at the resort. To make matters worse, the sliding glass door in our room had only a sheer curtain—no privacy whatsoever. Anyone walking by outside could see directly into our room, day or night. That is completely unacceptable and made us feel uncomfortable the entire stay.
A particularly unpleasant moment was when I went to get ice. The condition of the room that housed the ice and laundry machines was frankly shocking. The ice machine appeared to have been out of order for years, and the area was filthy — not something you'd expect to see anywhere, let alone at a resort. It was genuinely unacceptable.
That said, I do want to acknowledge the valet staff, who were timely, friendly, and seemed to be doing their best to make guests feel taken care of. They were a bright spot in an otherwise disappointing experience, and their efforts did not go unnoticed.
This resort clearly has potential, but it’s currently falling short in too many areas. Until significant improvements are made, I can’t recommend it.
