The Magnolia is an old fashioned B and B. The breakfast is very good. The bed was very comfortable. The people are very nice and helpful but minimum English spoken which makes things hard at times. Have your Google Translate ready. Downsides: there was no fridge, kettle, cups etc. to brew hot drinks in the room. Our toilet seat was loose and fell off completely on day 2. Bathroom is tiny - but there is always a generous supply of hot water for showers. The local "beach", although within walking distance, is just rocks and too dangerous to swim. Another one a bit further away is very small and pebbly and disappointing. This is not a beach holiday resort.

Posizione a parte nulla di positivo da dire purtroppo; a partire dal pagamento per le tasse di soggiorno che volevano avvenisse esclusivamente in contanti, costringendo la gente in vacanza andare a cercare un ATM, oltre al fatto che la somma richiesta in struttura per esse non era quella scritta nella conferma della prenotazione. Non credo serva aggiungere altro. Non credo si vada avanti lavorando in questo modo, purtroppo.

Soggiorno da incubo

la struttura è carina e in una buona posizione, ma ci sono troppe cose che non vanno. Abbiamo prenotato una camera tripla e ci hanno dato una doppia, ok eravamo in due ci accontentiamo (le doppie però costavano meno). Camera umidissima, che faceva puzza di umidità con il condizionatore non funzionante (più un ventilatore freddo). All’arrivo il bagno era sporco e il gestore del bnb si è mostrato infastidito dalla segnalazione non trovando alcuna soluzione. I primi asciugamani che ci hanno consegnato non erano ben puliti. Temperatura dell’acqua in bagno instabile, usciva tendenzialmente bollente. Insomma, un bnb caricato gestito male e con manutenzione pessima.

bella struttura ma c’è da migliorare

La struttura è bella e ha una buona posizione vicino al centro.. anche lo staff è gentile e caloroso.. purtroppo però questo è troppo poco per il prezzo pagato e, sulla base della nostra esperienza, riteniamo ci siano ancora molte cose da migliorare: il wi-fi non funzionava e in struttura non prendeva niente, la colazione troppo carente (meglio non farla), la pulizia della camera (per 3 giorni neanche il cambio della biancheria.. capisco che è un B&B ma un cambio biancheria va fatto.. almeno ogni 2 giorni o, al limite, andrebbe chiesto ai clienti se hanno bisogno di un cambio asciugamani). La stanza è un po’ umida e, a piano terra - dove ci sono delle belle camere spaziose - non c’è alcuna possibilità di stendere la biancheria (vero è che c’è una lavanderia a gettoni a due passi, ma l’abbiamo sempre trovata occupata). Dulcis in fundo: il parcheggio... si sa che ad ortigia è difficile parcheggiare.. ma abbiamo passato anche due ore.. dico due ore per trovare un posto!!! Meglio scegliere un B&B a Siracusa oppure uno che abbia il parcheggio interno o convenzionato.. sarebbe il caso di lavorare su questo punto.
