Wouldn't recommend this for a 4 star hotel. A couple things that weren't ideal were: 1. Seems to be a massive "tour" hotel. Every day, a new set of cruise ships or bus tours would begin their stay and create crazy long lines for the 3 hotel elevators. No stairs are available so imagine waiting behind 50-100 cruise guests... 2. Had to request conditioner. The 2 in 1 just doesn't work, especially for a hotel at this level 3. Had a view over looking a freeway. Area wasn't ideal, despite "being in Darling Harbor"

Having stayed at various of the premises of this group my experience at the Darling Harbour premises was the worst of any Park Royal stay. We had a rattle in our air conditioning which was there for our entire stay. We tried to reach the Concierge about other matters, but the line kept ringing out (as did the front desk phone); so we did not attempt to get this addressed. In the end to get anything attended to it appears you have to go to the front desk, totally unacceptable for a five star hotel. The breakfast head staff was quite rude, tapping their watch and stating that the breakfast setting would be closed in 30 minutes. Again, is this really what you expect when staying at Park Royal ? They certainly do not miss you on price, but fail to deliver on service and value. The location is nice and convenient, easy walk to China Town and Darling Harbour facilities. Would I stay there again ? Probably not. Has the experience tarnished my thoughts on Park Royal in general ? Unfortunately... Yes
