Every year I have the chore of searching and finding our Happy Place at SB! After reading the property description for Beach Goals I checked all of my boxes…however being the quintessential skeptic seeing is believing.Most important was the cleanliness! Wow! A well stocked kitchen (love the labels Kelly!) very comfortable beds and pup amenities (the best!) It’s not only pet friendly it’s pet perfect! Just as described..perfection! It was so fabulous we skipped the going out for dinner every evening and ordered take out from Oyster Rock..so yummy enjoyed our morning walks and evening walks on the beach with the pups, so enjoyed the front porch and the screened porch! …..beautiful! BTW super friendly neighbors! Thx Kelly and Colman for sharing your Beach Goals with us, for the excellent communication and your kindness!We are planning our dates for the spring…looks like we found our Happiest Place at Sunset Beach! The Dodge’s and Shalala’s.

Beach Goals was absolutely perfect for our family trip to Sunset Beach. The house had everything one would ever need for a wonderful vacation. The layout of the house was spectacular allowing us to each have our own space and the different deck locations were fantastic for gathering outside and watching sunsets. I had additional family in town and Beach Goals became the meeting place for beach days and evening card playing with ample parking in the driveway. The location was key with being able to walk to the beach and walk for icecream at night. Kelly was super responsive with every email I sent and even when I called her at 10 p.m. because we locked ourselves out of the house she jumped right in the car to come rescue us and did it all with a smile and southern hospitality. Overall it was a wonderful experience and we hope to visit again soon.

Beach Goals

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Beach Goals. In addition to our full house, other family was near by and we were able to get together and not be crowed with all the living areas. Beds and bedrooms were very comfortable, kitchen well supplied and we were pleasantly surprised at all the nice beach towels and chairs. Everything was of a good quality. Couldn't ask for more. I hope your stay was a great as ours!

Perfect place for annual family gathering

Beach Goals had everything we needed to relax and spend time together- whether we were headed to the beach, a short walk away; gathering to watch the Olympics, play board games or put together puzzles; cooking dinner on the grill; or going for a bike ride. And the owners were always immediately responsive if we had a question. We can’t wait to return!

A place you want to come back again!

Beautifully remodeled house, with pleasing decor. My family enjoyed the layout of the rooms, the screened porch in the back to enjoy the evenings and a pleasant deck in front to enjoy our morning coffee. We like the relaxed west end of the island with an easy walk to the beach. I personally recommend the 32st broad walk to the ocean since it has less steps. The fenced area around the house was definite asset if you have pups, though the deck can be locked also. We were there the week before the hurricane and had perfect weather. The host was easy to communicate with! My family wants to go back again sometime

Super Stay

Host was excellent communicator. We appreciated the fence that allowed exercise room for our dog. The rooftop lookout and shady back porch were added bonuses. Great location super clean and bright modern decor. Loved it!

Exceptional Stay!

We visited Beach Goals with 6 adults, 3 children, and 2 dogs. The sandy (hardly traveled) road to the beach was a relaxing stroll. The screened porch offered a very private outdoor area for hanging out every morning and evening. The living room area had plenty of space for everyone to spend time together. The fenced yard was a real plus with dogs and kids. All of that along with the wrap around deck leading up to the crows nest and the separate living area downstairs, each of us could have our quiet time or time all together. In the mornings, the grandkids would come out onto the front porch and have the best conversations with me while rocking in the glider. The beach wagons, beach chairs, and toys were a perfect touch! We happened to meet the owner of the home and she is delightful! She really cares about providing the best possible beach house experience and it shows.

Family Beach Time

We enjoyed a week at Sunset with our adult children. This is the best rental property we have visited on the NC coast. Plenty of room for 5 adults and everything you could possibly need. The kitchen was fully stocked with cookware, small appliances, etc to cook full meals. We appreciated the access to the grill, beach chairs and we enjoyed the bikes that were provided. Wonderful to have a fenced yard when bringing your family pet along on vacation. Will definitely be repeat visitors!! Communication with owner was top notch!

Wonderful stay!!!

My family and I spent a week at Beach Goals! The home is beautiful and comfortable! It is close to the ocean and plenty of restaurants near by. The owner Kelly was quick to respond to any text I sent, she gave good info on great restaurants! And there was a sweet note and a cute gift bag when we arrived! The screened in porch was our favorite hangout! Cant wait to go back!!!!

Healing respite for kindred spirits

Just returned from a week at "Beach Goals" with my new partner in life. This home is so cozy and unpretentious like some of the bigger houses; is a five minute walk to the beach, and fully equipped with everything you need. The back porch tended to be our favorite for cool rest in the afternoon and early morning coffee with the birds chirping. Very special place, owners very helpful. Two trips to the "Kindred Spirit" mailbox made it extra special.

Wonderful stay at Beachgoals

This was the most amazing house at a beautiful beach. The owners respond quickly and have thought of everything. The house is extremely lean and well stocked. They thought of everything. We stayed a month and was not long enough. The family loved the house and the dog settled in quickly. It is amazing house and everything they stated is accurate. The beds comfy, nice towels, stocked kitchen etc. I give this 5 stars and will return!

Perfect for our growing family and a wedding!

As our family grows with spouses, four-legged children and a new grandbaby, this house fit all our needs for privacy and comfort. The downstairs was just what was needed for the baby + parents + 2 dogs. The living room had ample space to everyone to relax and the screened back porch was a great end-of-day gathering space.

Family Reunion

9 family members (ages 31, 34, 62 to 74) and 2 dogs. Room enough for all. Comments from our crowd: Long cable dog tie was helpful near swing. Comfortable outdoor furniture. Plenty of beach chairs, towels, wagon very helpful. Bikes needed WD-40 but were OK. Bring bug spray if walking across dunes after sunset. Hosts were on-call and talked us through setting up TV after previous guests were gaming. Dining table only sat 4 comfortably. One control for temperature made it difficult to please many people on two levels. Sleep Number King bed not working; should be set at average firmness and unplugged. Sheets and pillows were so comfy. Downstairs privacy was perfect for the newly engaged. Decor is soothing. Appliances and fixtures fantastic. Dishwasher extremely quiet. Level yard for playing games. Turtle Patrol was an unexpected activity. Difficult to please all of this elder group. Everyone went home with new memories to cherish. I thought it was a terrific vacation.

Great family week

This house worked well for our 3 generations. The lower level was quiet for little one to sleep and the back porch was a great place to relax in the evening. Kitchen is very well stocked with all cooking needs.
