Beautifully updated property near Queen Elizabeth Forest Park. Check in was quick and easy. Our room was large with a king size bed, a lovely view from the window, large bathroom room with a large enclosed shower. Nice soap and shampoo. We had a delicious dinner in the restaurant.

The bar and restaurant menus were superb! The room was large and had a lovely view. Breakfast and coffee were top notch. I wish we had booked the Black Bull Inn for the entirety of our stay here in the highlands.

Great food in cozy village

The Black Bull was built as an inn in 1740. Gartmore is a quaint village with nearby walking paths. There are no shops or other things, but it is beautiful for it's countryside views and a nearby path. Also, the food is outstanding at the Black Bull. The menu is small but the chef makes it all count with each plate masterfully executed. I had a traditional chicken recipe stuffed with haggis and it was so tender and flavorful. I had to personally go thank the chef; it was just that tasty.

Lovely community run pub with loads of local history and great location in heart of the village. Friendly and helpful staff offered great service. Loved it. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Room was comfortable and really big. Ate in the restuarant both nights of our stay..the brownie was delicious! Definitely would recommend.

Perfect getaway with lovely big room, very comfy bed and great shower. Really nice furniture and fittings and quiet for a good night's sleep. Everything was spotless. Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent food at a reasonable price. We really enjoyed our stay and would definately recommend.
