Poppy’s place was the perfect set up for our family scalloping trip. We go with our extended family and this location had space for all of us. It was nice to have indoor and outdoor space including a charcoal grill, dock, and screened in porch. The kitchen was well stocked and everything was clean. Highly recommend this property. Thanks for a great stay!

Family friendly

Very clean and organized for our family! Brian was very responsive and willing to work with our schedule. Perfect for multiple families or teenage kids. Separate den area offered was a great asset to our family. Short distance to Kathi’s for dinner and only about 15 min out of the channel.

3 day weekend trip

The property and home is beautiful. We had 2 families and 4 teens all together. We had plenty of room and the kids enjoyed having their own apartment! I enjoyed having plenty of supplies like toilet paper and trash bags. This vacation was just a short weekend but other vacations when we stay for a week I get annoyed that I have to shop for basics. I feel like the boat dock on the property (too shallow) was miss leading we never used it. Luckily our other friends had a place we could dock our boat to avoid paying the neighbours extra money to use theirs. We did encounter ants in the kitchen if we left food on the counters, muffins had to be thrown out. But it’s Florida there will be bugs! We would stay again we enjoyed our time. The house was updated beautifully, clean, comfortable and we had everything we needed.

The Best-Stocked Place in Steinhatchee

We come to Steinhatchee every year and stay in a different place every time. This is the nicest, best-stocked house we've stayed in. We always travel with a good knife, a good pan, olive oil, salt and pepper, extra toilet paper and paper towels because they are not always provided. We never had to reach into our stock because everything was provided. The property owned went above and beyond by providing 4th of July paper plates and cups. We will definitely try to stay here again.

Best place we have stayed for a large group!

10 out of 10! Very clean. Best stocked place ever. The outside is so unique, we saw manatee & gators off the dock. We were able to keep the boat right on the dock, so convenient. Kitchen was great too. Loved it and will try our best to book it again.

Property Seemed Like Home for a Few Days

I’ve stayed at many VRBOs, and this is at the top of the list. The property has great character. It is well stocked, clean, and comfortable. Bedrooms have ample room, and the sharks den offers privacy if anyone appreciates that. Kitchen was stocked with everything needed and more. Owner was easy to communicate with and overly helpful with questions.

Fishing Trip

One of the best places our fishing group has stayed at in the past 10 yrs. Close to everything. Super cool layout. Very comfortable. We fished off the back dock every night while we relaxed. Very clean with plenty of bathrooms and comfortable beds. Large open format kitchen with everything you’d need to prepare a large meal. Highly recommend this place.

Wonderful house, great stay

The house is beautiful, a spacious and tastefully furnished mansion with everything you need for a relaxing stay. The owner Bryan has really thought of everything. The kitchen is fully equipped, even providing these little things which make a stay comfortable, from coffee to washing powder. Very thoughtful and accommodating! The river in the backyard creates a unique and beautiful setting where you can sit and enjoy the tranquillity of “old Florida”. You can even take an easy stroll into town, everything is so close. We had a great stay and were sad that we had only so few days in this lovely town and Bryan’s great house.

Great experience!

My friends/family and I stayed here during the crab festival and had a blast! The pictures listed don't even begin to describe the beauty of the house and property. There was a group of 8+ that slept comfortably here and everyone had their own space. This house is very close to the marinas and restaurants. I highly recommend to anyone considering.

Scalloping/kyakking weekend

Our stay was wonderful! There were 7 of us staying for the weekend to scalloping and kyakking the river. Location was perfect. Access to the local grocery, restaurant, the marina and steinhatchee falls all were very close. The home is extremely clean and well equipped with everything we needed. Im greatly looking forward to returning next year!!

Nice place

The house is great and has a separate apt. Which is nice if you’re traveling with friends. The really great thing was that the little things soap, napkins, salt and pepper etc were all there for you. And unlike some vrbo units toilet paper was included. The owner responds very quickly to questions. It was great. And a screened porch too!

Gorgeous home and property! Perfect for our group of 2 families with teens. Kids loved the shark den and having their own space! Home was so beautiful with every amenity you could imagine! Neighbors where we were able to keep our boat for quick launch to scallop were so friendly. Such a hidden gem!

Great place to stay, lots of Extras!

Everything was great at the house, the owners a very accommodating and have little extra perks included all over the house. If I had any complaints at all it would be that the house will sleep 13 like advertised but there is only 2 bedrooms in the main house and one bedroom in the sharks den. All bedrooms have multiple beds. It worked out well for our group and we would definitely stay there again.

Great stay at Poppy’s Place

This VRBO was perfect! Extremely well stocked with anything we needed! Beautiful view of the canal and easy/short walk to the neighbors house where we rented a boat dock. 20-25 minute no-wake ride to the gulf. Less than an hour to be on a sandbar and scalloping. House has been beautifully updated and decorated. Comfy beds. Plenty of towels.
