We greatly enjoyed our 4-night stay at the cabin and would highly recommend it for other travelers looking for a stay in the woods. Because you're in the woods, you won't have a view of the Sawtooth Mountains from the cabin. However, the cabin's close proximity to the Salmon River was a plus for relaxing and fishing. The cabin is very clean and nicely appointed throughout, adding to its rustic appeal. The kitchen is well stocked with dishware and appliances. Unfortunately, it rained periodically during our stay which prevented us from enjoying the fire pit out back. One minor inconvenience that may present problems for some visitors involves the ladder access to the loft area where there are additional beds. Access to the loft occurs in the second bedroom, and the opening is on the small side making it a little difficult to get luggage in and out of the loft. While our guest party of 6 consisted largely of recent retirees, some with mobility problems, we were able to make the sleeping arrangements work, but this access issue could be a drawback for other older guests with similar problems. The host was easy to work with when we had questions about the cabin. Kelly was quick to provide answers and recommendations on activities and restaurants in the area. She also made sure to check in with us on our arrival to make sure we were settled in and didn't have any problems. She even baked us some cookies which was a nice welcoming touch. Overall, the host gets high marks.
