Overall we had a great stay, the property is in a great location with beautiful beach views. The area is so easy to navigate. Check in was a breeze.
As for the unit… It’s in an older building, and it shows it’s age.
Pros: The kitchen and bathrooms have been nicely updated, beds were VERY comfy with new mattresses, and the living room seating was comfy! The kitchen is well stocked with everything you would need. The unit was quiet, we barely heard any neighbors. The smart TV in the living room was nice. The AC worked beautifully.
Cons: the floors could use a good deep clean. Our feet were filthy walking around barefoot the first 2 hours in the unit. There were a couple safety/security issues that made us feel uncomfortable. The locks on the doors have all been replaced. But the old locks remain in place, and aren’t fitted to the doors properly, so there’s a gap where you can see in. There are two deadbolt locks without the bolt in place, so they’re useless. The larger guest bedroom has a door that leads to outside but only locks with a knob lock. It needs a second lock! There’s also a peephole on that door. I looked out it and could feel air coming in on my eye. I looked closer and realized there’s no glass in the peephole, and actually, it’s not even attached to the door at all. I could easily remove it leaving just a hole in the door. Not cool. Replace the peephole or seal the hole up! Thankfully I checked the front windows (in the guest/kids bedrooms) when we arrived, as they were both unlocked. There are several outlets in the unit that just don’t work. There are light switches that do nothing. No overhead lights, just lamps.
We would consider staying here again if the issues with the locks, peephole, and outlets were all repaired.
