Come on down the weather is fine! Beach is open and gorgeous. Both pools are open and currently unheated (repair date unknown), and both hot tubs are open and heated, pavers in-between the pools are currently being worked on, and they're also working on restoring the Tiki Bar. There may be some construction noise between 9am-6pm, and the direct access to the beach has been diverted to the public beach access points, which are located at both the North and South sides of the Sunset Vistas property line. The onsite Cafe is open with Tiki Bar service.
PENTHOUSE UNIT! Gulf & Beach View, Top Floor, 2/2 on Beach, sleeps 6! Sunset Vistas is a beautiful beachfront resort in Treasure Island that features many guest amenities to make your vacation a very special time! This 2 bedroom 2 bath Beachfront condo sleeps 6, and has a beautiful view of the Gulf of Mexico and beach from inside the unit. The kitchen is fully stocked with utensils for cooking and preparing your food. There is a washer and dryer in the unit. The master bedroom has a King Bed with bathroom ensuite, the guest room has a Queen Bed, with the second bath off of the living area. The living room has a Queen sized pull out sofa bed for the 5th and 6th guest (surcharges apply on 5th and 6th guest). Sunset Vistas amenities include an adult pool and a kiddie pool, 2 hot tubs, an onsite Cafe, a pool/beach Bar, an onsite gym, an office workstation, and a ping pong table, but, of course, the best part is that you will be staying directly on Treasure Island Beach, named one of the nicest Beaches in the World! The main pool is geo-thermal heated. You'll be within approximately an hour's drive to nationally renowned family venues such as Busch Gardens, Lowry Park Zoo, and Tropicana Field. Johns Pass Village & Boardwalk is a mile away, and Splash Harbour Water Park is a 9 mile drive. Guests enjoy a host of resort amenities, such as a large private resort pool, whirlpool spas, and a children's pool. You'll have access to the fitness center, the tropical courtyard, and one (1) reserved parking place (parking pass to be put on dashboard). Parking is covered and located entirely under building cover. Sorry, we cannot help with parking for any additional vehicles, however, check with the front desk, and they may possibly issue a parking pass for an additional car, however this is not guaranteed.
Toiletries/Essentials - The items below are meant to serve as a START-UP to your stay.
To help you settle in comfortably, we will provide the following essentials: Two rolls of toilet paper per bathroom One roll of paper towels Hand soap at each sink Dish soap A few trash bags for each trash can A few laundry sheets Dish detergent and sponge Ground coffee or coffee pods Dish towel(s) In addition, we will provide one full set of bath towels and one beach towel per person, based on the number of guests the home or condo accommodates.

We cannot guarantee pools will be warm during cold weather months and will not give discounts or refunds should a guest experience cold pool water temperatures.
Please understand what can come with the potential aftermath of a Hurricane. There may be closures of the following, that could possibly last weeks, if not longer: restaurants/shops, roads, certain amenities offered, beaches, Wi-Fi/cable, pools, elevators, etc. Our owners will stand behind their no refund cancellation policy for any of these inconveniences and will not be making anyone the exception. Again, this is why we HIGHLY recommend purchasing good travel insurance. There should be a few policies offered towards the end of your booking process. One of which should allow you to cancel for any reason (CFAR). However, it is important for you, to do your proper research in confirming what exclusions, if any, exist for that particular policy. If none are offered to you, you can always contact another 3rd party travel insurance company. Date changes, rain checks, or compensation will also not be options under these circumstances! Hurricane season, again, falls between June 1st and November 30th.
Garage clearance is 6ft 8inches. If you have a vehicle that is taller than that 6'8'', you will need to try to find an open "guest parking" spot which are super limited. Sorry to say that we cannot help you with parking if your vehicle cannot clear 6'8''.
EARLY CHECK-IN: Because we have a high amount of same day turn overs, we kindly ask that you PLEASE refrain from asking for an early check in. Check-in is at 4PM Eastern or any time thereafter. The property was easy to find other than that it’s a bit down hill. Multiple elevators were broken and the pool area of the property was under construction. As parents traveling with a toddler to know the pool area was under construction would have been a good heads up, but there was no mention in the listing nor any separate notification email from the property owner. Within an hour of being in the rental we killed 2 roaches and killed multiple roaches throughout our stay, the balcony doors and entry door were never left open longer than to go in and out so wasn’t caused us leaving doors open. The floors were so dirty not sure if it was the tile, rug or carpet but we couldn’t walk around barefoot without the bottoms of our feet turning black. Went to use the provided beach chairs one time and checked to make sure they weren’t broken before getting to the beach and a previous guest left their nicotine trash in the pocket of the chair so we just put it back in the closet and didn’t bother with chairs. Overall the interior of the rental needs some TLC multiple patched places on the doors, barely any paint on the corners of the walls, the furniture could use shampooing. We will be returning to the area but will not return to this property.

This was a very nice, short trip and the condo did not disappoint. The only con was the bath soap it was the size of a quarter, so plan on either bringing body wash or a bar of soap. Other than that, it was fine.

Fantastic location
I feel so bad for the devastation in the area, but Sunset Vistas is doing a great job at getting back on their feet. The family that owns the café business served delicious food and drinks and they are hopeful to get the beach bar back up and running ASAP. As far as the unit goes, it was clean and as described in the listing. The hot and cold water are backwards in the master, so that was tricky to figure out. Also, we had to figure out the thermostat because we had to turn the heat on as our week was cold. But bonus, the elevator closest to us got restored during our stay so that was really nice. The pools and hot tub were clean and people were friendly. I would come back..

Too soon after huricane
I thought the area would have been cleaned up and ready for high season, so booked the condo for early December. Two months after the hurricanes and the place was still a disaster area. The elevators were not working and so a hike up 6 flights with luggage is not ideal. The diner was not open yet and most of the dining options in the area were also not open.

We had a really nice time in this condo. It was beautiful and clean. There’s an ice cream place right next to it if you’re into that the beach is gorgeous and it’s literally right on the beach. We didn’t use the pool much, but it had a pool and it looked like a pretty nice little bar right next to it. Only issue we had was do not use the dryer until you confirm. It’s not gonna damage your clothing. We had some black marks on our clothing several pieces that came from the dryer somewhere, but we cannot figure out where. And it was not the owners fault or the person managing the condo. We didn’t even mention it to them because we didn’t wanna make a big deal about it because the place was so nice.

WONDERFUL location!
The location was top notch!! Just a stone’s throw from John’s Pass boardwalk, the walking/biking trail, so many restaurants, shopping, and more! The condo was great and we loved the provided beach chairs. The ping pong table was a nightly activity before bed, and we enjoyed the iced coffee in the cafe. The beach was perfect, and a much better distance from the condo doors than most of the other condos we walked by on the trail. Their beaches were much deeper and a further walk to the water. This was our first trip to Treasure Island and Sunset Vistas, and we will definitely be back!

A nice stay
The family had a nice time. Everything we needed was there and the view of the beach was great. Though the outside of the building could use some updating, the place we stayed was nice and clean. Only few things we would have changed would be working elevators (the nearest one was broken which we were informed ahead of time was in the works to be repaired after our stay) and a working tv (there were issues with getting connected to the new WiFi - it ended up getting fixed within a few days). Debra was great to work with, and very helpful and responsive.

Do not recommend - no one on site to communicate with
The unit itself was fine. It was clean and nicely furnished. It was quite small and hard to imagine that 6 people would be comfortable staying in it. The bathrooms were especially small with very little counter space. It should also be noted that some of the water faucets are installed backwards and what is usually a cold faucet runs hot water and the hot faucet runs cold water. There was no written explanation for this. One of our biggest issues was that there was no one to communicate with at the location or with the management company except by leaving a voice mail message with a return call anticipated the following day. There were no instructions in the unit for the operation o Internet, WiFi or air conditioner. We were never able to establish an internet connection during our stay and had no access to TV which required an internet connection. While this was not a huge deal to us it seems that with the price charged the basics should be readily available. We were notified by email prior to our check in that one bank of elevators was not working and the expected repair was 2 weeks. There were other elevators in property available but it was inconvenient and a lack of enough luggage carts made it difficult to get to the unit in the 6th floor. We certainly understand that these things can happen but felt the inability to speak with anyone on property or with the property management company makes this property less than desirable especially for the price per night.

Property is dated,needs a face lift. Picked this place for our 93 Father who has a little trouble getting around. The elevator by our room was not working and the closes elevator was a good distance away for our father and also the most busiest. Also room was dated and floors were dirty.
