This hotel is within walking distance of St Peter Port main district. There is a bus stop near giving access to all the Island. Breakfast was an excellent meal.

My visit on this occasion was to see my family and in particular my grandchildren.I needed a good room with excellent breakfast facilities and friendly staff. All those requirements were met. The curtesy lift to the airport was an added bonus.

Comfortable, friendly base for exploring Guernsey

Management and staff are excellent. Rooms are fairly comfortable, though amenities limited. Single rooms quite small, at least by American standards. Included breakfast very good and cooked to order. Hotel located near bus stop and not far from city center. Free pickups and drop-offs available if booked in advance. Feels almost like a bed and breakfast.

The Hotel Staff were fantastic and co-ordination with pick up from the airport made the trip most enjoyable. Situated perfectly for getting round the island and the rooms were fantastic.

Basic hotel let down by service and small niggles

Hotel is basic but adequate, although there are some little annoyances that would be easy to sort out - nowhere to hang towels in the bathroom, cold coffee at breakfast for example. Room was clean, bed was comfy and the shower was great. Service was poor, especially at reception where there was no staff member and nobody answering the advertised duty phone. Breakfast service was very slow.

The property is in need of some work - our room had large damp patches around the window frame, stained carpet, shower riser and toilet roll holder both loose. Simple things to fix and they would make a big improvement. A shelf in the bathroom to put items on would also be a good idea - along with something in the shower cubicle as the only place to put anything is on the floor - hardly ideal. More worrying was the water running down from the upstairs room into the landing area. When we reported this, we were told it was a known issue and was apparently due to the person above not closing the shower door fully! The walls are thin and if you have noisy neighbours (as we did) this can really impact your sleep. The manager did speak to our neighbour but to no avail. If you're even a slightly light sleeper I'd suggest taking ear plugs. This B&B (not really a hotel as no food other than breakfast is available) is in a good location, lots of buses go near and it's a pleasant walk into town. The ladies at breakfast were friendly and helpful and breakfast itself was good quality and tasty. The offer for us to use their washing machine and dryer (with powder) was much appreciated - a thoughtful touch. The complimentary airport transfer was also a nice touch. There is plenty of scope here but some of the basics need improving.

Good Location and Venue

The Abbey Court has a wonderful family atmosphere. It gave me the impression of relaxed and happy staff who were not stand-offish in any way. The breakfast girls were helpful and chatty. Dogs were not a problem, and there were quite a few others besides ours. I really enjoyed it there.

Enjoyed my stay - staff very friendly and helpful, the room was clean and breakfast was good too. Little bit of a walk down to the town, but there is a bus stop very close where lots of buses stop. Complementary lift to the airport as well! I couldn't fault my stay.

Although not a modern property the hotel was kept very clean, the staff were all very friendly and helpful and with just a 10 minute walk into St Peter Port it's position made the tourist attractions easily accessible.

On an excellent bus route. Would have used the bar more if more guests had done so but this was obviously not the fault of the hotel!! Nothing was too much trouble for the staff.....breakfasts were excellent.....just a shame they didn't do evening meals.
