Located in the heart of Soulard, one of the oldest neighborhoods in the city, laid out in the early 19th Century just south of what was the original core of St. Louis. Only 5 minutes from downtown, it's close to most major STL attractions. The neighborhood is very safe and visually stunning if you enjoy old architecture. Perhaps best known for being the home to the 2nd largest Mardi Gras behind New Orleans, it is also a walkable neighborhood with a vibrant restaurant and nightlife scene.

Apartment was as described with everything we needed for a fun weekend stay. Great location within walking distance of the soulard farmers market, great restaurants, and fun bars with live music. Owner was very accommodating and even gave us restaurant recommendations. Will definitely stay again.

We loved the location of this apartment! It was only a few blocks from a great blues bar, Hammerstone, a great little coffee shop, Cafe Miami, and not too far from the Soulard Farmers Market. Some of the area looks a little rough but we did not have any problems. The apartment is beautifully decorated and very clean. Communication with Joe was excellent.

A wonderful weekend stay for a wedding at the Franklin in Soulard. Steps away from our venue and places to eat. Nightlife was abundant in the area but when it was time to go to bed the air conditioner kept any noise we might have experienced at bay. Beds were very comfortable and we slept like babies. Host was very friendly and communicated well. Would definitely stay there again.

Stayed here for 3 nights with my mother-in-law and 2 children. There was plenty of space for us to sleep comfortably and move around. The beds were very comfortable. The place was clean. Parking on the street was not a problem. We felt safe. We could hear people outside talking from the kitchen but not from our bedrooms. Overall, 5/5 stars for cleanliness, great communication from owner, location, and comfort! Would definitely recommend!

Great Neighborhood, Great Vrbo!

We loved our stay in Soulard/ St. Louis. Joe was really helpful when we had a couple of questions. We ran out of a couple supplies and he gave us access to more from storage. The rooms were comfortable. The extra chargers were helpful. It was fun having the balcony with the view of the church. As Joe mentioned in the listing, on Friday and Saturday night it was kind of noisy, being near some hopping bars. We were warned, and the A/C in the house was loud and drowned out most the noise. There was thumping, but we were ready and it didn't bother us. My son and I went on jogs in the neighborhood. All of us really enjoyed the old brick houses, old churches, and restaurants. We loved the farmers market, 3 GREAT coffee shops (Goshen, Protagonist are blocks away, Antagonist is about a mile - we jogged there.) The board game bar and restaurant, Pieces, connected to Antagonist Cafe, was amazing! Great loaded waffle fries and an innovative way to connect with your server. We loved our stay, would recommend this property and neighborhood. It was great for a family with teenagers. Be aware that it is on the second floor, so immediately upon entering the door, you will go up a set of stairs to the living room/ kitchen level (with 1/2 bath). Then the bedrooms (and full bath and laundry) are on the next level above that. We liked having sleeping separate from living room. You need to be able to handle steps though. No problem for our family! Thanks Joe!

Great space & close to many attractions

We were traveling with our toddlers and the space worked perfectly for us. Plenty of space for them to play and was nice to have bedrooms separate from living space. We spent a lot of time on the balcony at night and while you can hear the music from the local bars it is not obnoxious. Kitchen was well stocked for basic cooking. Parking was easily found on the street most nights.

Wonderful Stay!

This apartment was exactly as advertised. Joe was a great host....very communicative. My family (husband and 2 kids ages 8 and 10) arrived Saturday on afternoon and initially we were a little nervous because it seemed like a "party scene". But I think it was just the fact that it was a Saturday, hockey was on, and it was March Madness, because it was perfectly quiet the rest of the week. The location was great!!

Weekend Getaway

This apartment was perfect for a weekend getaway. It was an easy drive to the city's attractions. The neighborhood was very lively, with multiple bars around the corner - a great spot for those who want to get out in the evening. Parking is on the street, but we had no problem finding a spot outside the unit. The owner was very responsive.
