What a warm and cozy home! Great kitchen, fully stocked. Plenty of towels and toiletries. Comfortable beds. Decorated nicely for Christmas. Great location to downtown St. Charles

Great for large groups!

The house is fantastic for large gatherings. The main floor has a large living space along with one King bedroom (kinda of in an add-on room). Upstairs you have 3 bedrooms with the master suite and other King bedroom accessing an outdoor 2nd floor balcony. The 3rd bedroom upstairs is a double bunk....a little awkward for adults but it works. Overall recommend this house however the owners need to invest in the outside maintenance - the porch flooring is in poor shape and the upstairs is similiar. Inside fine, ouside needs work! Also, narrow alley to access the garage and be able to unload items. Area in the back can allow 3 cars but all other parking is on the street right in front (about 25 steps up to access the house).

Quick getaway trip

This home was perfectly located - we parked and didn’t get in the car again until we left. The place was clean, well appointed and comfortable. Short drive to the airport too. Walked one short block to Salt & Smoke and The Main House for great dinners and enjoyed the charming town.

We loved the house! It was roomy with a nice layout! We would suggest more hand towels and couple extra sets of towels! The outside area needed to be cleaned up!

Girlfriend reunion

We are 5 women in our 70's and we've known each other for 60 years. We live in different states and like to get together at least every year. This was quite a charming place for us to meet up. Everything was wonderful!

Great stay!

We had a wonderful stay. My father was in the hospital and coming home every day to this sanctuary was such a relief. Great communication - we extended our stay and had left items mailed to us and it was all handled very professionally. The porches were great. The solo stove and courtyard area was peaceful.

Dear old friends

It was a perfect place for us! So close to the stores and restaurants. The rooms were all large and very well designed. Bathrooms were very nice. Great history in the house. Beds were comfortable too.

Garrett (Host) was great. Immediate responses to questions.The property was nice. It could use a little TLC in some areas but overall an 8 out of 10. Great location... one minute walk to Main Street.

Can't beat the location

We had a fantastic stay at this house! The location is perfect, with plenty of dining and shopping options just a short walk away. It's an ideal spot for families, offering a lot of sleeping areas and the convenience of three full bathrooms, was great for our group. The decor and design is super cute and fun. The home has plenty of seating with two dining areas. There is a large kitchen, making it easy to make meals. Parking can be a bit tricky and tight, with the garage in the alley. But there was a lot of parking on the street in front of the house. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay.

Great place for friends reunion

The house was perfect for childhood friends reunion. The bedroom and full bathroom downstairs was great to have due to some physical limitations for one of the friends. The house is decorated beautifully and the kitchen has everything one needs. The only negative I would mentioned are the bath towels. They were thin and not soft. They felt like kitchen hand towels. Overall, it is a great house for lots of people to get together and perfect location to enjoy historic St.Charles. We will come again.

Beyond our expectations!!

I can't express in words how perfect this property was for our stay. We met as a family for a few days in St Charles. We wanted a home close to St. Charles Historuc District. We were literally a block off Main, lterally a few minutes from the restaurants and shops. The area is beautudul! The home was large and kovely! We loved the porch and the courtyard! I cant wait to visit again!
